Bush has made it easy to be blamed for so much because he and his party have for a rare time in our history been exclusively in power.
Who's really better off than they were 5 years ago? 5% of the country's elite?
But I'm not looking forward so much to the presidential election as I am for the mid terms....The fur's about to fly!
Have you noticed how quickly the Bush loyalist are abandoning the ship. He's about to redefine the term "lame duck"Keeping Americans terrified with colored alerts will no longer float!
Misusing this country's finest to fight an oil war, selling off American assets to fund a deficit, spending off the charts, looking up our collective skirts for god knows what, obsession with a dictator while letting the real killer roam free. Dividing this great country into the Hatfields and the McCoys, No border enforcement,No freight inspection other than 5% while making little or no effort to learn and speak the language is....... well.......

One must admire clarity of vision and certainty in convictions regarding politics. I was once absolutely convinced that Richard Nixon was the worst President the country would ever have, although that certainty was shattered in short order. The only absolute certainty that remains for me about politics is that the future will be interesting.

Spending is higher than it's ever been in history.
Osama still at large, still communicating with the world.
Port freigh inspection IS only 5% and even then that's pretty tough.
Our Borders are holier than the pope.
Since the first FAILED court nomination, more repubs than ever have been stepping 'cross the party line, if not being dragged off to jail.
Not being partisan, northern, southern, white, black, city, country, apply pie or black flags, but just as a rational individual, are those not the facts?

Darious, I was just about to start on a nice post trying to offer profound showings of proof, using web articles from independent, reputable news sources regarding each and every point, but then I started to think. I could care less. I just don't fricken care anymore. If you still don't know what's going on by now, you never will. It's pretty dang dark outside. If you still think the sun's fricken shinin then you need to wander your butt outside and look the hell around.

How so? It is simply an alerting system with a color code. It may be as effective as a car alarm going of in the WalMart parking lot but it's not propaganda.

They are facts as you would like to present them. Without a comparison of the facts prior to 911 they are just statements of your perception. They do nothing to accurately portray the current situation. Throughout this post I have not posted a single fact I have only given my view in relation to your facts. It was not meant to inflame or belittle only to bring light that a comparison can't be made without something to compare.

Don, I may not think you're totally right, but jesus I loved reading your post so much more than okie's...you're the kind of person I'd like to argue with, okie's the kind I just wanna beat up.
I agree that the color code is not propaganda persay, however the system was used for political purposes. Compare how many times the color was changed during the 2004 campaign compared to how many times it has been mentioned or changed since Bush won the 2004 election. Once maybe twice? I honestly can't remember hearing anything about it after the election. Something about that doesn't add up for me.
