S&W "Something big coming April 12th 2012"

I know there's 0% for this to become reality- but I would be tickled stoopid if they'd just quit farting around and make me a non-hillary hole blue L or N frame double action .38-40.

I always thought that a polymer 3913 LS with a striker instead of the DA/SA would be a sweet gun. I had a chance to buy one for a great price and decided not to. Face Palm!

I have to laugh at the guys who had to buy a 3913 NL as the LS challenged their cojones.

saw a preorder sheet for their version of the nano that will start shipping shortly before this with the name shield assigned to it on the counter at a lgs today

I never heard of the Beretta Nano before but looking at its description it looks pretty good for CCW. If the new Smith is similar it ought to be popular. I like the price point on the Beretta especially considering it is from Beretta.

I'm going to look at more local shops to see if I can find a Nano to examine and then see what the new Smith will look like in April.

Maybe they figured out how to get .410 shells to cycle in an semi-auto... then they can sell extended mags and you can punish yourself for a dozen rounds or so. Sounds like a party to me!

LOL I saw what you did there.

What cheap gun company will they rip off next...

Let's see, Ruger copies Kel Tec, multiple times. S&W copies Taurus (and has its own version of a KT P3AT copy).

Who's next? Charter Arms.

OK here it is:

S&W is going to have a single gunsmith make and produce, by himself, a line of revolvers. But, instead of snake names they are going to be based off the names of the three stooges, just in time for their new movie to come out. Use your imagination on who is what caliber.

What I would like to see:

A gun that when the trigger is pulled it pops out a BANG! flag like in the cartoons, except there is a secondary trigger that actually shoots and spears the target with that BANG! flag going 2,000 fps. Awesome.

I would like to see S&W [rip] off Charter Arms and produce a K-Frame .44 special.
Been there, done that... kinda. ;)

5rds of .44Spl won't fit in a K frame, but it will fit in the slightly larger L frame.

S&W has produced four .44Spl L frame models: the 296Ti, the 396Ti, the 396NG Night Guard, and the 696. However, none are currently in production.

I would like to see S&W rip off Charter Arms and produce a K-Frame 9mm.

Actually I'd really like a Model 386 XL Hunter chambered in 9mm. But given that the LCP, LC9, Kahr PM9/CM9 and Bodygaurd have been so popular, I'm guessing they have produced a sub-compact (micro-matic ?).

I'd guess it's going to be bigger than the Kahrs.

Supposedly Glock has orders for 150,000 to 200,000 pistols and they're production facilities are going full bore.

It may be a long long time before they come out with a pistol small than the G26 (if they ever do).

I want an over/under 500 S&W handgun with a 6"-7" barrel and overall length of under 10".

It would be a sweet bear protection gun, don't you think? One rarely gets more than 2 shots when surprized by a bear anyway and would be a lot lighter than the revolver.

Lost Sheep

A centennial j frame in 9mm and or. 40 where moon clips would not be necessary? A single stack M&P in .45 acp? Either would be sweet. ;):D
