S&W "Something big coming April 12th 2012"

How about a new weapon suitable for duty or home defense? 4" barrel is a good compromise. Something simple to use, like a revolver. Should hold at least six rounds of a popular cartridge, say .38 Special. Maybe wrap it up in a nice K-frame package.

Get this, they can call it the M&P.

That's funny. Maybe it can come out in stainless steel?

I got any idea. Make the cylinder as long as the Governor's and bring back that 38 SPL load that held 00 buckshot balls. I forgot who made them but they held 3 IIRC. A longer cylinder should hold more.

Call it the Smudge or the Wessovenor.

Still laughing, Dain!

Hey, I get all my jokes from vaudeville.

Everybody should make a prediction, and whoever is right can come back and gloat like lee.

I've got another one. The .38 Special, based on a black powder case, is too long for its abilities. With all the rage for tiny guns, Smith & Wesson can ".45 GAP" the special, and call it the .38 S&W.

I got a million of 'em.

The Supreme Leader. It's like the Governor but with moon clips it can shoot .500 S&W, .460, and 12 Gauge.

I realize there is no possible way that could even kind of work, but I wanted the joke to work.

M&P ASP 2.0 in 9x19/.40S&W/.357sig?....

Maybe Smith and Wesson will bring out a "upgraded" ASP? :)
The newer ASP2000 was a good effort but lacked the style & muscle of the original ASP 9mm sidearm(a custom bad-#*+ model 39).
007 packed a ASP pistol in a few 1980s era James Bond novels.

A ASP 2.0 or a M&P ASP would sell very well as a BUG/deep concealment/UC pistol.

I got another one

Its called the Roulett. The fellas @ Tarus helped with engineering. You never know if it will go bang or not.

They already have a 380. How about a kevlar hat covered in tinfoil for the next election?

Maybe it's a series with a bald cop? One who carries a 3rd Gen SW 45.

If I were to wager a (serious) guess, it would be a sub-compact single-stack 9/40. It seems all the other manufacturers have an offering in that category.
