Chuck Conners must hate Mossberg

WE SEE THE EXACT SAME THING DONE TO THE AK AND CLAIM IT'S AN IMPROVEMENT - WHY ISN'T THIS? OR ARE WE TALKING OUT OF OUR OTHER FACE?
I have never stated that doing this to any weapon is an improvement. And, I know several other posters fall into the same category.

Some shooters like decking their firearms out with "tactical" crap, but not all shooters.

If you like it, that's great; but don't pigeon-hole the dissenters, based on a few narrow opinions.

(For the record, I think the AR platform is one of the stupidest firearm designs in history, too. ;) Just because the military adopted it, doesn't make it great. It just means it got the job done, and didn't cost much.)

Looks like it is up to three owners now.

It appears someone might have mentioned AK's in this thread based on the quote I see above.

For the record, this AK doesn't have a CHAINSAW handle.

I saw a car that had astroturf glued to it once. It had little football player figures on it, and a goalpost. Owner seemed quite pleased.

I saw it, but I didn't then go do it to my 1970 GS455 convertible. See where I'm headed here? ;)

Many and many a firearm which is not only functional but is aesthetically pleasing. Life is too short to mess with ugly guns, cars or women.

But I figure folks oughta buy whatever makes their little heart palpitate with pleasure. :)

^^^^ This is what is most important thing to consider when shopping for a gun :D.

The lever gun as ugly as it is at least looks usable as long as it is built well. The Chainsaw I'm having trouble figuring out how I would actually shoot it.

I think after the initial reaction wears off, its actually quite utilitarian. Might make a good brush gun. Its gotta spot for a scope and a light without having change much.

At first I was repulsed, but the more I look at it...I almost like it.
Looks like a Road Warrior/Blade Runner vibe. You would have to admit if someone showed up a the range with it you would have to take a closer look.

Thanks to mister Art,
I just woke up sweaty and screaming with images of Hilary Clinton, Rosie O'donnel and this rifle getting out of a Gremlin

Funny thing... Used to work at a place and somebody would park at a business across the street in a Volvo. We counted one day and it had over 2,000 plastic Buddha's glued all over the outside. Many different shapes and sizes. Wish i had pictures of it.

To top it all off there was a plastic Jesus on the dash and a hula girl on the rear deck.

We also had a guy work there briefly that had customized the bicycle he rode to work with spray foam insulation. It had a fish tank, complete with goldfish, an alarm clock, a fire extinguisher, a motorcycle tool kit, and a small cooler between the crankset and the top tube. It was complete with windshield wipers bolted to the handlebar, and a girls basket in the front with pink plastic flowers.

Needless to say, it wasn't Seattle's best neighborhood....

That rifle ain't the dumbest thing I've seen in the firearms world but it surely must be in the top ten. I think the Glock bayonet is near the top.

The thing is that if we had no preconceived notion of what a lever-action rifle looked like then this rifle would just be new and cool to us. Yes, in comparison to the beautiful rifles of yesteryear (which are now making a comeback), it is pretty dang ugly. But without that comparison it is a functional and utilitarian firearm that many of us might be interested in owning for a multitude of purposes, from hunting to home defense...
