Chuck Conners must hate Mossberg

I can understand the chainsaw for breeching or serious "holy shtuff holy shtuff" fire from the hip as fast as possible situation.... It MIGHT just be me, but I like my 12gauge stocked and choked, I like my lever guns in wood, I like my caliber in the 30s and I like my plastic on airsoft guns :( that poor lever gun never stood a chance, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I am a member of the largest members owned shooting range in North eastern Indiana.
I would never own one for one reason.
We have older members (I am one) and I would be afraid I might cause someone’s death with that gun.
From laughing so hard.

OK rickyrick if you want to start something?
How’s this
The second photo is for those fire fights where speed is important.
I meant it as a joke

Looks like we found a couple CHAINSAW owners in this thread!

I personally don't encounter a breaching opportunity very often, unless while seated, of course, and that isn't the sort of breaching I'd need a CHAINSAW to accomplish.:D

I doubt there are many LE organizations who endorse using a 12ga to breach. So, that leaves the only possible use for the Military?

I'd expect to get laughed off the range if I walked up with this thing.;)

I guess that's for the old west mall ninja crowd. I agree that the lever action is a great defense gun. So is the double-barreled shotgun. What are you going to use rails on that gun for, though? There may be a point to the collectors appeal, though. One day it may be a rare thing indeed. The grandchildren of mall ninjas may pay big money for something like that one day.

Lol,

After seeing the chainsaw, I took my regular shotgun and sized it up on a door....I think it could be accomplished without the added handle... just my assessment.

I think I could endorse laughing someone off of the range with a chainsaw, seems difficult to aim at the range LOL,

If you buy one and send in the receipt along with 8 bubble gum wrappers + shipping and handling, Mossberg will send you a free "mall Ninja" decoder ring!!

At first I did not know how to reply to this topic. It seems some marketing people have achieved a fine new level of ridiculous madness. I would sum up this rifle (if real) this way: George Carlin once said in one of his routines: "you nail two things together that have never been nailed together before...and some schmuck will buy them"

Exactly - the marketing guys DID do their research, people WILL buy it, and you better be ready to see them at the range and out hunting.

Check those features again - .30-30, America's #1 Deer Hunting cartridge 100 years and more.

Adjustable length of pull stock to fit a larger number of shooters. I'll bet it's commercial diameter, that means 50 others will slide on. Instant upgrade to Magpul.

Tri rail handguard - new mount to put a red dot right over the leaf sight, perfect for the .30-30's range and the game it's used on.

Fiber optic sights standard for low light use.

Flash hider - which makes it a screw on, get a comp or suppressor for it. The Black River Tactical throws a lot of the noise forward, which is really nice hunting, as it takes a few more shots to ring your ears. No many of us wear hearing protection on opening day.

WE SEE THE EXACT SAME THING DONE TO THE AK AND CLAIM IT'S AN IMPROVEMENT - WHY ISN'T THIS? OR ARE WE TALKING OUT OF OUR OTHER FACE?

The bullet doesn't care, the game doesn't care, and what we see in the sight picture is all that counts. The rifle is just the tool, we improve on them constantly.
