Whats your favorite rifle?

For me it is a center-fire rifle which uses affordable ammo.
Combining the Tech Sight's much-improved accuracy with ammo prices puts my SKS into first place.

For both power and handiness (using reloadable ammo), one of my Enfield "Jungle Carbines".
The similarity of the new Ruger Scout Rifle to either the WW2 Enfield "JC" or the Spanish FR8 is interesting, but just a coincidence;).

This was also the case with many Russian aircraft when compared to US aircraft. Just a coincidence.

One that is scoped to my liking. Caliber isn't all that important but I do kind of work better with a .308 rifle with a scope on it.

My favorite right now :)

My Weatherby Mark V Deluxe in 460 Weatherby Magnum.
If that cannot bring down any game on this earth I will give up hunting.
Love that rifle.

Well, since my wife gave me this Winchester 95 Hi Grade 30-06 for our 25th anniversary 7 years ag, it would hurt her feelings if this wasn't my favorite rifle -

I even force myself to shoot it - and keep it in our bedroom - women can be sensitive, you know -

This week it's a Springfield trapdoor in 45-70. really like single-shot rifles, if you need more than one in most situations, you missed.

ask me again next week :)

Favorite?

I really like my Ruger Mini 14, 10-22, Henry lever 22, & SKS, but my favorite is probably my Jaeger Mauser 270Win. One inch groups @ 200 yds. That is as far as I can shoot on my range so I don't know about any longer shots. I don't shoot it often, but when I take it out to look at it it is like looking at the my new-born child, the crown jewels, or anything else held in high regard. Awesome. The rest of my guns are just shooters, but this one is extra special to me.

My favorite rifle is a !886 Winchester lever action in 45-70....just love pullin the trigger and waiting for the hard cast lead bullet to hit the gong at 200+ yards ! :D

My Garand #1
and for 2nd
10/22
M1 carbine
Golden Boy
Marlin 336 .44mag
and if I was to choose for all time meaning what I dont have but what I like to have my dads BAR (class 3 of course):D

The two rifles I'll never sell are my father's Ruger 10/22 bicentennial he gave me and my Mini 14. (580-series tapered barrel, grey laminate stock and a butler creek folding stock), other rifles will come and go.

My M1 Garand overall.

For hunting, it would be my 8mm Rem Mag. I can comfortably take any North American big game animal using the big 8.
