Whats your favorite rifle?

Semi-auto; My evil black C93 hk93 clone. Despite everyone hooting and hollering about Century Arms. I did my research on what to look for before I buy and landed on a good one for an awesome price. Fun, cheap, reliable (but dirty).

Bolt action is my sporterized M1891 Argentine Mauser. It's a fairly small (barrel cut), accurate, and handy hi-power rifle. It's done me no wrong since I've had it, the only thing I hate is the lack of ammunition choices. Meaning only like... 3 companies load for it.

Upon serious consideration of this question, I would have to say my WalMart bought Marlin 336 with a simple Nikon 3-9x40 scope is my favorite.

I love my Garand, it's a piece of history and an impressive example of American engineering.

I love my Savage MkII because it's cheap to feed and ridiculously accurate.

But my number one is my AR. I know what it can and can't do, and I know what I can and can't do with it. If anything requiring a firearm occurs, be it a defensive situation or a 'let's go hit the range!' call from some friends, the AR is my go-to rifle.

My favorite rifle that I've haven't fired yet is this Crazy Horse M14 EBR-RINM-SEI
Non EBR versions are sub MOA accurate @ 1000 yards

Remington Model 7 Kevlar Stocked, modified at Gunsite at my own behest and cost in the late 1980's by John to be one of the prototype Scout Rifles: Brazed on forward scope mount with machined-in emergency front sight on the forward scope mount, Mini-30 rear sight dovetailed into the receiver, three flush Pachmeyer sling attachments, Ching-Sling made by Eric himself, in .350 Remington Mag "Fireplug".

Shot and approved by the late Colonel Cooper himself. This rifle was the resuilt of much personal correspondance between myself and the Colonel.

Tack-driver accurate, capable of taking any North Amercan game, most African species thru Buff (although the Good Colonel had some bad luck with "The Fireplug" on Buff... ), not too bad on deer (I use non-expanding solids for most everything deer-sized... kills 'em dead from any angle that can reach the vitals and spoils zero meat ), and all in all.... it's my "Baby".

Weighs... well, you don't want to know how LITTLE it weighs.

Yes it kicks. A scout rifle ought to be carried a lot and shot once...

While I have had many different rifles in my time, I keep coming back to the 03 Springfield.

1942 Remington (M) with UF&H 1942 bayonet on top.

1906 Springfield with 1908 Springfield bayonet, rebuilt after WW1 and then shipped to the Philippines on the bottom.
