Whats your favorite handgun caliber?

1. 45acp

2. 9mm

3. 357 magnum

i have a couple 40cals, but due to the fact that they now cost only a hair less than 45acp, i'm prob gonna sell them. got no particular love for this caliber anyway.

The Smartest ammo vs the most fun vs economy

The Smartest Ammo for 2nd amendment purposes of defense of freedom would be 9mm and .223, with 9mm being the best and most common handgun load. The word here is NATO. If your gun shoots what NATO shoots, ammo will be plentiful in conflicts.

The most fun for different reasons are either .44 mag or .50 AE. You must shoot these to understand.

the most economical are .22 caliber. my favorite guns to shoot for everyday target and plinking are all .22.

To me, the 2 calibers then you MUST have are .22 and 9mm for handguns.

For defense and all-around use the ammo king is, of course, 9mm.

A nut for every squirrel

1...10mm it rocks in my g20 with 15 rounds of 180gr or 200gr hp

2....45 it rolls with 13 rounds of power 230gr sxt's putting big holes in soft stuff.

3...9mm when you need piles of ammo my walther p99 is great to shoot and plenty of ammo too from 115gr to 147gr hp's

4....357 sig, g32c shoots like a 9mm but puts hurting on the steel in comps.

Favorite cartridge(s)

.22 LR - Greatest practice value for your dollar.

.44 Special - Huge hunk-o-lead with a manageable recoil,,,
The .44 magnum is an insane round for SD,,,
Fun to pop the varmints with though.

I like to shoot almost everything but these two are my mainstays,,,

Favorite

38SPL/357MAG.
Best of both worlds. Easy to shoot target round 38SPL 148 wadcutters. good easy to shoot self defense round 38SPL+P 158 SWCHP. And the ferocious self defense/hunting 357MAG 158 JHP or 170 JSP. And all can be fired from the same revolver or lever rifle.:)
