What was your first handgun?

Technically, since airguns are considered firearms by the State of Michigan, that honor would go to my old Crosman 1377C. The best shot I ever made was with that gun; a hip shot that dropped a blue jay at 30 yards. Wonderful luck.

The first "real" handgun I purchased was a Taurus Model 85. I had to send it back after a couple of boxes of ammo, as the cylinder was binding. Just so you know how long ago that was, they paid for shipping both ways, and it was back in my hands in 10 days. It has been a great shooter, an I still carry it often.

The first handgun i owned was a cheap chinese semi automatic 9mm that i bought off of a drug dealer when i was 17 years old.
I assume you consulted an attorney and checked the statute of limitations before admitting to a federal crime on an internet forum?

My first handgun was a Smith & Wesson 659 9mm handgun that I put one of those Pachmayr wrap around rubber grips on (I have large piano hands - like big spider crabs with very long, thin fingers and I like a larger pistol grip). I still have that gun and keep it by my bedside.

I was a night shift security guard when I was in my early 20's and worked at a car dealership. It was my duty pistol back then. I never once had to draw it in 2 years of working there, but my wife used it once to scare off a pair of possible intruders once when I wasn't home over 20 years ago.

I just bought my first pistol this past Tuesday. It'a a Ruger P95. Unfortunately, it won't be in until mid next week.

It was a Ruger Single Six Convertible. I bought it in Key West in 1962 when I was in the Navy.

My son has it now and it shoots as good now as it did then.

I was given my great grandfather's ruger single six 22 mag. for my 18th birthday. No rust and just enough finish worn off to know it's a shooter.

My first purchase was a ruger SRH 454.

I got the best of both world's, a plinker and a cannon. :D

Believe it or not, I owned rifles and shotguns all my life, but my first pistol was my XD 45 I bought in 2006-- its not my last, but it was my first..

First handgun I ever fired was an old, but still serviceable M1911A1 during bootcamp on Parris Island.

The first handgun I ever bought was a custom 1911 built on an Essex frame that I got from a SSgt who needed money. It was a great gun that sported a Bo-Mar sight, Bar-Sto barrel, and mix/match of spare parts from the armory. The thing was a tack driver and I learned a lot about 1911s tinkering with it. I only paid $250 cash for it and he tossed in a shooting box (sans scope) as well.

Wounded up selling the gun back in '94 for just over $500. Looking back, I should have never done that. Still regret it to this day. :(
