Oldest? An heirloom Colt .38 Police Positive that was carried for 28 years by my wife's
uncle in the NYPD. He was a patrolman who worked in plain clothes on the pawn-shop squad. Purchased it as a rookie in 1928. It's been nickled and wears a set of real pearl grips, which he had done when he was promoted off the street to the PSSquad. Lots of holster and handling wear. Lots of miles, lots of rounds. Still shoots pretty accurately. We inherited it in 1962. The old guy was gruff, didn't like to talk about his work. We don't know if he ever had to use the old revolver, we only know it sided him for a lot of years. Only a couple of years before he retired, he purchased another gun: a Colt .38 Special Official Police. He only carried that 'in the Bag': that is, in uniform. Another nephew has that, now.
I do have one handgun that I've owned longer, though: A Sheridan Knokabout .22 single shot that I bought in 1953
