Thousands Rally for Immigrants Across U.S.

Its really not about winning a debate mthalo, its about waking up americans to the danger that hundreds of thousands of illegal foreigners protesting ON OUR SOIL poses to our way of life. People need to take this issue VERY seriously. The illegals certainly are. This type of behavior amounts to an UPRISING! America needs to take notice and stop feeling sorry for the 'poor mexicans'. How fast do you think you'd end up dealing with mexican soldiers and end up in a mexican prison if you tried this crap on mexican soil?

They are blatantly ignoring our laws, and pissing on our country. They care about nothing but themselves, screw what they are doing to our country.

And personally I don't care if they are mexican, african, swedish, irish, german, WHATEVER..... The fact that they are causing political upheaval and violating laws is what concerns me....
 
We are too quick to swallow the bait waved before us. There is a strong temptation to simply accept these demonstrations as being a grass roots and spontaneous statement from the huddled masses. Nothing could be further from the truth.

These national protests are bankrolled and organized by a number of furtive political groups which include ANSWER and the Socialist Workers Party. Did you think that the truckloads of American flags just materialized? The very left United Food And Commercial Workers International Union and the Service Employees International Union are also major players.

My people were denied entry into this and other countries in the late 30's and as a result was that they were murdered in the Holocaust, so the issue is one I'm quick to bring up an alternate view on.

It is easy to draw on parallels in history to make one's point. The problem is that there is no parallel in what you have stated.

There is no holocaust in Mexico.

There is no charismatic leader spewing hatred toward any group of people and seeking their elimination.

There is no charismatic leader seeking world domination.

There is no war machine being built in Mexico.

What we have here is an unarmed invasion of the United States by a country with which we share a border.

If these people are so determined to be United States citizens. If they are so determined to attain freedom. If they are so in love with this country as they say they are. Then let's annex Mexico into the United States.

Let Mexico adopt the United States Constitution.

Let Mexico adopt the United States dollar.

Let Mexico adopt United States laws.

Let Mexico adopt United States customs.

Let Mexico assimilate into the United States instead of Mexico forcing, through stealth and invasion, the United States to assimilate Mexican customs.
 
Sleepy Americans

Americans can go back to sleep and pretend this is not occuring. When you wake make sure you speak spanish. Build a wall or deportation will not be allowed by the great people of Mexico. The leaders of the most powerful nation on earth are kissing the assess of the illegals. This is going to be the United States of Mexico, so get over it join in, wave the right flag and learn spanish. Just remember sleepy Americans you were sold out by corporate greed and by the bought and sold polititcions. Americans are also a victim of being politically correct after all you better keep your mouth shut you may affend the illegals, they are only hard working people doing the jobs that lazy Americans wont do. So learn spanish. :( Your states next! So just keep on sleeping!
 
I had an interesting experience this weekend - I was in Salem, Or. Where I live (small town very near Canada in N. Idaho) we have no illegals from Mexico - or at least their numbers are small enough that I never see them.
I visited a mall and a discount grovery store (Winco) and I was shocked at the number of foreign speaking people I saw - most speaking Spanish. I sat outside the mall while my wife and daughter wandered around and I did a count - more than 1/2 the people entering the mall were what I'd call Mexican. In the grocery store the numbers were about the same. They were shopping, spending money and very nicely dressed and from what I could observe were very polite. From their dress I'd guess many were coming from or going to church.
If this is the situation in Northen Oregon, I'd go out on a limb and say the immigration battle is over. Face it - they won. They're here, buying the same Chinese crap we buy and they dress up to do it.

Frankly, I'm disgusted at the blatent racism here.
To those who suggest stocking up on more ammo: what do you want to do, round up anyone who's Hispanic (or looks that way), and escort them to the border at gunpoint? Do you feel that threatened? Maybe we should set up some concentration camps to hold them until we can toss them back over the border.

I don't support letting every illegal immigrant stay in the country illegally, and think everyone immigrating to this country should learn English (which most do). But fact is, most simply want a better life for themselves and their families, and act accordingly.
In my experience, there are a lot of jobs in this country that Americans are not willing to do. You may find plenty that will take the job, they just don't feel that that they should have to give anything in return for their paycheck.

I don't hear anyone suggesting we give anybody an opportunity to change their status to legal.

No, I want to round up those who broke our laws to get in and send them out.

Irrelevant to the fact that they broke the law. I'm glad there are people who will work in these jobs, but they still have to obey the laws.
So should we not give those that are here that opportunity? Have these people proven that they are capable of making a positive contribution to our society?

Nope, they cheated to get their opportunity. How have they proven anything? The illegals aren't on any tax roles. The illegals don't have health insurance and get routine medical treatment at the ER. Try a search on how many ERs in the problem states in the southwest have had to shut down. So they do "jobs that americans won't do". Why won't americans do them? Let me suggest an answer.

The jobs are low paying. Many americans can earn more money doing other jobs. Plus the pay rates are lower that what the "unemployed" and welfare recipients are being paid to NOT work. If you got more money for doing nothing that doing something, which would you pick?
 
As a Canadian Citizen, and a LEGAL Immigrant, this crap makes me sick. I spent 2 years, and thousands of dollars to become a legal immagrant. In 2 more years I WILL apply for citizenship. I came here, and must play by the rules. I love America, and will abide by the laws and do everything legal to live the American dream. Heck, if this garbage continues, maybe they will hand out citizenship cards in cereal boxes.

the solution is simple, wonder how fast congress would get off their glutius maxumus if illegals were offered their jobs at a cheaper pay?-it would end and I mean right now!

outsource their jobs to foreign countries at a cheaper pay..bet that would stop now also.


they aint gonna do anything bout it, business and special interests has em in their pockets.
 
I get the feeling the Mexican government thinks a shooting war with the U.S. wouldn't occur unless sanctioned by the U.S. feds.

There is one way that this will come to an end but it would take governors with guts to do it and I don't see any coming over the horizon.

If all of the states were to simply place all illegals they capture on a plane with a one-way ticket to Dulles International airport the Congress would figure something out lickety split -- once they became their local problem. Perhaps the influx of several thousand illegals, including the ones that get out of jail for criminal offenses, would get their attention.

But, alas, it is nice to dream of such things; but reality always comes a knockin' ...

Oh, so I suppose we should ask everyone in prison if they feel like saying they are sorry and then let them ALL go? Murderers too right?

Breaking the law is breaking the law. Deport them. If they wish to get back in, let them go through the legal process they should've in the first place.

We all need to wake up to the fact that we are no longer a secure nation. Over 11 million illegal immigrants is ridiculous. Terrorists could walk across the borders like taking a walk in the park.
 
Shall we all go to the Mexican embassy and demand unrestricted entry into Mexico and our U.S. constitutional rights while we are there? How about free medical care too?

How are we going to enforce these new laws? Where are we going to get the number of folks necessary to round up millions of illegals? I'm against illegal immigration and think something needs to be done, and fast. However, I don't see how this is going to be enforced.
 
We put all those useless ATF and DEA and etc, etc agents to work doing something worthwhile. We organize with local and state LEO. We allow the states to use their National Guard units in extreme cases. We make it clear that anyone found employing these people will be arrested, prosecuted and jailed for not less than 10 years, with all assets confiscated after conviction. We close the border by hiring and training volunteers, with orders to shoot any that cross and refuse to stop. We accept that this did not happen over night and will take several years to clean up.

We get to work on it, tomorrow. it can be done, it will not break us and it will not hurt the economy in even the slightest fashion.

So what if half the people weren't white or speaking Spanish? I really don't care about that.
I just what immigrants who a) come in legally and b) learn and understand the Constitution (we are not a Socialist/Welfare State with limited individual rights in theory and we are not a crappy third world dictatorship).

On an side note (again) I saw an Irish couple (I don't know on which side of Ireland) that are here illegally speak on TV. The woman tearfully cried that she couldn't go to her parents funeral because she was afraid she couldn't get back in. He bitches that he has limited rights and can't get a driver's license.
I say, take this interview and arrest them. She can now go back home and see where her parents are buried.

As for the Jewish thing of mthalo, the rebels of the Yucatan are not immigrating to the US in large numbers. That is the only part that is even a close parallel. Never forget is good. And unlike others you understand that the statement should not just be applied to Jews. I must give you credit for that.
But don't let history make you stretch examples. Illegal immigration seems to be largely an economic issue, not a political assylum issue.
 
The other danger

So they are coming without us knowing who they are. Say there are 12 million that came in. What percentage of 12 million American citizens are dangerous criminals, for example? Of course all the illegals are technically criminals, but that does not make them a danger. Remember when Fidel emptied his prisons and sent the bad ones over to Fla? What happened to the crime rate in S. Fla. with that small population? The most important aspect of the legal process, in my estimation, is keeping out the dangerous criminals, terrorists, etc. If you skirt the process and walk on in, you could be another Charles Manson or something. At least we have some chance of screening them out with immigration processes. Maybe that is why some claim to be stocking up on ammo, not because they are some kind of vigilantes out to menace poor migrant workers. Perhaps only a small percentage of the 12 mil are bad guys, but we sure don't know, do we? Nothing I have seen proposed by politicians would do much on that aspect. As far as legal applicants for immigration, or guest workers with paperwork, or visitors with a visa, bring 'em in. If our bureacracy is working correctly(?) they are not a problem to me. Especially now that they woke up and do it better after 9-11 breakdowns!
 
Try to think of it this way: If we enter into hostilities with Mexico, how many here wish to have an army of 11 million hostile foreign agents, and agents provocateur, within our borders?

Show of hands? Anyone?
 
Ethnic loyalty

Living in Kalifornia IM in danger if I mention the subject matter and say something negative about the invasion.So I have to be very careful. One thing I have noticed is how many people born here dont consider themselves Americans but mexicans. Having all the rights all other Americans have and they consider themselves Mexicans not Americans. Ethnic loyalty. They call people like me a racist but in fact it is them that are the real racist. Color is not an issue to me, however I do accpect these people to have loyalty to this country not a country that their parents ran away from and has never and will never do anything for them,but give them lip service. The way things are going we will be in a new civil war maybe not now but ten years or so. The prize is going to be the Southwest. Im first generation American my parents taught me that IM a Amrican . I find it hard to believe that these people who are born here have such a strong loyalty to a country that does nothiing for them. The only place where Mexicans are denied opportunities is Mexico but these people wont do anything about it but try to change our country to be the new Mexico .
