So How Long Did It Take For Your C&C Permit to Arrive?

From the day I took the class to the day I recieved my permit was almost 4 weeks to the day in Kentucky. I think they said 6-8weeks in the class, so that wasn't too bad.:D
 
Took 23 hours for mine a few years ago. Finally talked FirstInLine into applying last month and hers took 26 hours. In both cases, we probably could have waited around for the signature and picked up the same day.

St. Louis County has 45 days to respond to a CCW application. I was told that they usually take all 45 days. My acceptance notification arrived today just after one month since I applied. Now I need to pick up the paperwork at St. Louis County Police HQ then take it to a state license office to get the ID made.
 
Home sweet home

I just moved back to Oregon this last year after 14 years in purgatory (Socal) I started the process for my CHL in October, Class done I turned in the paperwork in November. I got my CHL yesterday!
It's good to be home!:)
 
I live in the Dallas area. As has previously been mentioned, TX has a legal responsibility to respond to a CHL app within a certain number of days (I think it is 45) but they are ignoring that as CHL's are very popular these days. Anyway I sent mine and my wife's in in March 2008. My wife got hers in August 2008 and I got mine in September. And I don't think I would have gotten mine YET had I not called and complained.

I can only imagine what the back-up is like now that the election has been over for a couple months.
 
It's been three months and I've been checking the mail daily like a dog standing over his bowl and drooling. Yesterday, I finally saw that return address I've been looking for, Florida Department of Agriculture & Licensing. Then I looked at the address line. It was my wife's permit. She's not even sure she's going to carry at all, and she gets hers before me. We sent them off together, so I'm hoping mine will be here today.
 
Here in Oregon, state law requires that the permit be issued in less than 45 days, unless the person is rejected.

People have told me that it currently is taking about 42 days here where I live.

Took the class the second week of August, got my permit the thrid week in JANUARY!!! I had to wait over a week just to get a permit to purchase.:mad:
 
the law here in MN is the sheriff has 30 days and you get it automatically if it is after that. i just renewed mine and the lady told me 2 weeks or less.
 
I went to the Sherrif's office and filled out all the paper work, they took the photo, and printed my permit, the Sherrif signed it, laminated it and I walked out the door.

PS My prints and background were on file as I am Search and Rescue Volunteer.

It took almost 8 weeks for my FL renewal they said in the forms it could be 8 or 10 weeks so right on time:) I guess you figure in the holidays they did pretty good:eek:
 
CCW Permit It can be a waiting game!!

I live Maine and it took about two weeks and a trip to the cop shop. I live in a small town though and that helped out a bit. I couldn't imagine having to wait that long to protect myself! We really only get them up here for trapping and woods carry. We can carry open with no permit so its nice. Thats why i'm never leaving the state of Maine well one of the reasons.:) Good Luck And i hope its already come through for you!
 
My dad is getting ready to take his ccw training class this weekend here in southwestern Ohio. I will keep an update of how long his process takes. Mine was same day I filled out paperwork (the day after I took the class). Hopefully his will be similar

Ok, so my dad took his class this past weekend. Classroom on Saturday, shooting and qualifying on Sunday. I went to the shooting portion on Sunday since it was at a buddys house and we were going to do some shooting afterwards. Glad I did :D I got to shoot a S&W .500 Magnum :D, but that is a different story. He went to the Sheriff's office on Monday afternoon to fill out paperwork and get fingerprinted and photoed. SO called Wednesday and said it was ready. 2 days for SO, 4 days from beginning to end including the training.
