So How Long Did It Take For Your C&C Permit to Arrive?

I was told 7-10 days 10 days ago so I am hoping its in the mail box tomorrow. If I dont see it by the middle of next week I will stop in at the sheriffs department and see whats up. Here in MT it used to be walk in fill out paper work wait walk out with it, I dont know if the sheriff was on vacation or something last week. Oh well it gets here when it gets here.

Only 10 days in NC

I let my original CCW expire in 2003. I had to retake the class to reapply in January 2009. Filed with my local Sherriff's Dept. (Beaufort Co.) Only took 10 days, the original one took about 4 weeks. I don't know if having a prior CCW made the difference in the approval times.

Here in tennessee its within 30 days but everyone wants their carry permit so its takin up 6 months. im going to day to turn in my certificate and get fingur printed and im looking to get mine in aug or sep.

Michigan waiting for mine

waiting for my postcard to arrive so I can go pick mine up. They told me that there is no back log in my county. Should have it by the end of April. :)

The department i have to go to was closed yesterday so i have to go today and get the ball rolling so i can have mine soon. Im excited to be able to carry soon but at the same time its a huge responsibility so nervouse as well. I just hope that most people can use the weapon if they have to pull it and not get killed themselves.

Same day service for most people I known in my county, at least that was the case last year. I think the sheriffs are allowed up to 45 days for the processes.

FL-
State has 90 to issue. Lots of stories about people waiting longer, sometimes much longer. The state even hired extra workers for the backlog.

With that said mine was sent in early january and it took FL 60 days to issue it.
a few extra days on both sides for the mail. in All under 70 days for for me door to door.

2 days - I live North of Seattle. Filled out the paper work and fingerprints on a tuesday and received the CPL in the mail on Thursday

Sometimes I feel like I'm living in a prison here in Illinois. My wife and I just got back from Michigan(Frankenmuth). While at a gas stop I overheard an employee talking about going to an upcoming CCW class. Got me to wondering what it feels like to live in a state that actually trusts you to protect you and your loved ones as a properly trained citizen. Can't wait until my kids are grown and I can escape this corrupt, liberal, God forsaken state:mad:.

I'm in Florida and am on day 110. There's another forum that say calling and asking to speak to a supervisor makes it go faster, but I figure it holds up people who could be processing apps, so won't call.

I've made it 42 years without, so another month or so won't kill me hopefully.

12 weeks and it finally got here. Since we dont have a WalMart, I will have to take the first walk somewhere else. 12 weeks is the new approximate time for permit turnaround in Florida.

Three days. No fingerprinting. No mandatory course. No nonsense. Just as it should be in a free country. God bless the free (so far) state of NH.

new poster here...

In Charlotte, NC, I took the class in mid-March, took 5 days to get through to the Sheriff's office (they don't answer the phone, just straight to answering machine) to make an appointment for fingerprints and paperwork, which will be mid-June...then 90 days from then. So, maybe by Thanksgiving...

conceal permit

I live in Oregon. They quote a 45 day wait, but that they were running longer than usual. Even the class instructor told us to wait at least 60 days before checking into it. Happy to report that it took only 40 days. :)
