New to the forum

Looks like a great forum. Lots of great info. At one time I shot competition (high power). Age was taking its toll on the eyes so I had to quit. My hunting days became fewer and fewer as well. I shot in a pistol match a couple of weeks ago and although I was far from the best shot I was able to put a few in the X. My interest has been renewed and although I'm no longer competitive I can still have fun. My interest is renewed and putting more guns in the safe is in the future.
 
Glad to be here. I am from Iowa. I have been self employed since 1985. Business provide corporate security, armed bodyguard and private investigation services. Have had a concealed carry permit for over 30 years and usually carry a Smith and Wesson revolver. As you can tell by my screen name I like the older ones.:cool:

I am Rob, I hail from Rio Rancho New Mexico. I am married, 3 kids, retired USAF and now working as a power plant inspector. I grew up shooting from an early age. Its something that is ingrained in me and find pure enjoyment in; teaching my kids, shooting, hunting and reloading. Hopefully, I will have something to offer. Till then, I'll kick off my shoes and do some reading. Thanks for having me.
 
I didn't ever post an introduction, but I'm new here at TFL. I've found so much useful information already, either by reading other's threads or by posting my own.
I'm from the Seattle area in Washington and actually, as of today I've applied for my CPL (so did my wife) and picked up my very first handgun! Took it out to the mountains and put about 150 rounds thru it. We're pretty excited.

I'm 22 years old, almost 23. Just had my 3rd wedding anniversary, and my wife and I have a 18month old (almost). We both love guns, want to add more to our collection, and even get into handloading!

So glad to be here and I'm excited to dive right in!

Hello all. I am Josh from northeast Louisiana. I have read a lot here over the years and thought I would go ahead and join up. I am married 28 year old with 2 children. Me and my wife both have our cwp and enjoy recreational shooting and some hunting, mostly handguns with some long guns tossed in from time to time.

About me - Age 40, prior service US Army, current Gov Contractor overseas in Africa. Spent 4 years contracting in Iraq. Like to shoot & hunt. Have a house with a little land in South Central Missouri.

I live in Maryland and am a Marine (veteran of the gulf war).
I started going to the range with a couple of buddies and just picked up my first hand gun (S&W 686+).
I have spent a lot of time reading through the posts and have to say this is a great forum.
A lot of good folks with good information to share.

I am new here, just wanted to say hey to everyone!!! I am new to firearms as well. I've had a few hunting rifles over the years but unfortunately had to sell them but I am in the process of buy a handgun, am ready to get back in to the world of gun ownership, plan to buy, shoot many more guns.

Found this site while researching for a story I was writing.

I'm an OFWG that's over 50, owns guns and a bible, wears denim jeans, owns private property and believes that the words "shall not be infringed" are so easy to understand that one would have to be a career politician in order to be confused by them, which all these related facts means I am pretty much the bane of leftist liberals, centrist socialists, and those whom are republicans in name only (i.e., RINO's).

I look forward to meeting and getting to know other members here.

New Member from Washington State

Greetings. New member here. I am trying to branch out and join and meet people in more firearms forums. I recently started a little firearms accessories company that will provide jobs and income for some people with special needs. At this point, we are making parts for Kahr pistols but would like to hear about other things folks might like to see produced. Hello! I'm new to firearms, and I thought I'd begin asking questions before I commit to one firearm over another.

I'm 19 years old, graduated high school last year, and I'm currently in college earning my Associate's Degree in Fire Protection. I spend most of my week working at a volunteer fire department, either on the Engine as a firefighter or Ambulance as an advanced EMT. Any free time I have is usually dedicated to schoolwork or studying.

I've been lurking in the shadows for a while.

Grew up shooting/ hunting. Currently in love with semi autos. Big ak guy, getting more into Ar`s.

Anyway, thanks for adding me to the forum. Logging in was the first time I actually viewed the layout and I like it, pretty similar to the files. I look forward to learning and contributing to this board.
