Guns You Wish They'd Make

Quality reproduction of Colt's 1903 but more so the 1908.

Sig carbon folded slides, cheaper P210

1911 offered in 460 Rowland from the factory

3 round burst semi auto pistol, video game Gears of War style

A quality -- stress quality -- small folding pistol caliber carbine. Basically a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 that runs reliably and is well finished with good adjustable sights and a comfortable stock, unlike the slapped together crap Kel-Tec puts out. .45 cal would also be nice.

A C-96 copy in .22 LR. ATI is offering STG-44 copies and other assorted cool plinkertoys. Why not some old school Imperial German action?

I would like to see the Star PD .45 come back. It was a compact 45 that worked, at least the one my father had did.

Not a handgun, but bring back the Marlin Camp carbine in 9, 40 & 45, but make them so they take glock mags.:D

I second this idea. I always did like these rifles and always wanted them to have more capacity.

Oh my... This could be a long list!
(yes, I realize the first two on my list are wheelguns)

1. S&W K-Frame, 5-Shot, .41 Special - 210gr LSWC @1050 fps
2. S&W K-Frame, Airweight, 6 or 7 shot, .327 Magnum, 4", 5" or 6" barrel
3. S&W resurrects the metal frame, single stack 39xx series

4. 1896 Broomhandle Mauser type in: .22LR, .22Mag, 9mm, .45ACP
5. A strong, roller-block delayed action 10mm pistol with a crisp 1911-like trigger
6. A decent, small .380 pistol like the Colt Gov't/Mustang or Remington 51
7. Colt Lightweight DAO Commander 9mm/.45 with a trigger as good as the Kahr K9/K40 series

8. A .45ACP P.08 Luger. 'Nuff said there.
9. CZ 75 P-01 in .45 ACP. (Ditto)
10. A very lightweight Ruger MkII that's smaller, 7-8 shots, with a quick change 3" barrel that can be replaced with a 6" or 8" "target" barrel. Excellent as a survival gun.

11. Lightweight Colt Gov't in both 9mm and .45 ACP (is it out yet?)
12. An new M1 carbine (or similar concept) that actually works well. Bonus points if it's also available chambered for .22LR, .22 Mag, .327 Federal Mag, .41/.44 Mag or .45 Colt!

At the 2010 SHOT show, Colt had a lightweight Gov't model and a DAO Gov't model... but IIRC they had not yet made a lighweight-DAO Gov't model.

For one I can think of right now:

An M1 Carbine chambered in .44 mag.

I think they've been there, done that! It was called the Ruger 99/44 Deerfield.

Well, maybe more like a 44 Magnum Mini14. My dream was that it could be beefed up enough for 460 or 500 S&W. I think the price was higher than the niche market would bare. Discontinued around 5 years ago.

Ruger 10/22 Magnum :D

&

A reliable 3" 1911 that weighs less than 25 oz, holds at least 12 rounds of 45 ACP, and only 1" wide  Hey you said guns you wish they'd make, lol

- A single stack Glock 9mm. Truly small, not like the 26 or 27.

- S&W Shield .45

- More manufacturers with a .357 Sig platform

- A design that simplifies and toughens up the 1911 but keeps that great trigger.

- A new Beretta metal-frame pistol series.

I'd also by a single stack Glock G27 (.40 cal) or G29 (10mm).

I'd also like to see Ruger make a .454 casull with a 4" barrel....can only get the 2.5" or 7.5" barrel dang it.
