Guns You Wish They'd Make

I did some more thinking on this and I would also like to see:

A repro Mauser C-96 Broomhandle

Working models of guns from Video Games (stupid I know, but I would LOVE to see a working M8 Avenger from Mass Effect)

A LeMat Revolver chambered in .45 ACP and .410 (I beleive that was the revolver/shotgun from the Civil War)

HK USP in 10mm with standard rail.
SIG 232 in 9mm
P99 in 45 acp and 10mm
Smith Wesson 454 Casull
Winchester or Marlin Lever gun in 454 Casull

Love my HK P7, but how awesome [and expensive] would it be if much lighter (titanium, polymer, etc.).

I would like to see a semiauto carbine in 357 or 44 magnum or 50AE. They would make a good friend to a Desert Eagle or a Coonan.

@chadio: There isn't a problem with the Kahr CW9. But, its capacity is a horrible 7+1. And, many people would rather have a subcompact 1911 (in .45) at that point (well some people would I know the subcompact 1911s are heavy and expensive... but the weight helps with the .45ACP).

Glocks are kinda thick in the trigger reach department for me. If they at least made the "waist" of the grip in that area more streamlined, giving the gun a shorter reach to the trigger (not just taking a millimeter off the back-strap but actually "rounding" off the path your finger takes to the trigger) it would fit my hand way better. They could probably keep the capacity the same and just make the grip slightly longer to make-up for any capacity you might lose by making the "waist" of the grip more ergonomic.

But, the PPQ and the XD(M)s seem to have this idea covered already.

So it would be nice to have a thinner "waist" Glock for my small hands. And, if they did end up making the overall grip thinner they would lose capacity, but if they kept it double-stack it would have a higher capacity than the Kahr CW9.

Hey, maybe Kahr should make their CW9 slightly thicker (keeping the "waist" of the grip thin) and gain a few more rounds in their magazines.

I second the HK P7. What a great design. But yes, Khar's are an excellent option as well. As far as the 7+1 capacity goes, "Are we going to war? Or to the local Grociery store?"

Working models of guns from Video Games

Word.

Trigun - Top-break 45 Colt revolver that fires from the bottom chamber of a cylinder

Also - working replica of Mal Reynolds pistol from the Firefly/Serenity series, all other guns used were functional, why not that?

How about a SR1911 in 9mm?
Really? Isn't it already hard enough to find one in .45?:p

Ruger 10/22's

I'd like to see the 10/22's (carbine) in 22 Mag and 17HMR. I know they came out with the 22 mag some time ago but surely technology has advanced enough for them to successfully do this now.

Also, let's get the Charger in the same calibers. I know the 17HMR is primarily a rifle round, but so is the 22mag, and it's available in handguns. The Charger 17HMR would be a fun gun and great vermin dispatcher.

Fingers crossed....

Firearms:
0) Any modern offering in 7.62x25 Tokarev
1) Single Stack 5.7x28 "mouse gun"
2) S&W 1006 (because they're too expensive anymore, and I want one)
3) A cheaper competitor to FNH Five-seveN that isn't retarded *points finger at Masterpiece Arms*
4) Modern break-top revolver in magnum loading
5) Chiappa Rhino in 44mag, 10mm, or .45ACP
6) Another try at an autoloading revolver

Trigun - Top-break 45 Colt revolver that fires from the bottom chamber of a cylinder

Word (again). I'm working toward that goal (sorta; numbers 4 and 6 as well) right now. Mine design's a lot handier, though. Stress calculations look good, so I'm heading toward (non-firing) demo prototyping as soon as I get access to a high-res rapid-prototyper. Auto-loading 8-shot top-break in .357magnum, with barrel at the (correct) 6 'o clock position. Can be integrally silenced, too. Working name for the project is "Stampede" ;)

Any modern offering in 7.62x25 Tokarev

Crowd roars!!!... YES!!!... At least four companies are producing new 7.62x25 ammo now... Lets have a great new gun (or three or four) to run it through!

A cheaper competitor to FNH Five-seveN

Crowd roars again!!!... (And smaller for easier CC...).

Since this is the semi-auto area, I will refrain from waxing dreamily about ride and shotguns and wheelies. I'd be pleased to see a Ruger SR series .22 training pistol that mirrored the 9mm and .40S&W offerings w/r/t controls and design. The SR22 is nifty but doesn't closely enough resemble it's big brothers to be a great trainer.

I'd also like to see something along the lines of a pocket semi-auto with an integrated light/laser direct from the factory.

I would like to see a Ruger LC9 in .45acp, and while they are at it go ahead and make one with a trigger that doesn't SUCK! I would settle for an LC9 with a with a XDs trigger.

springfield XDm in 10MM.....16 + 1 rounds of 10MM!!

10MM lever action in a 16" carbine, kinda like the winchester ranger
