Guns You Wish They'd Make

+1 on the 22 Mag.

I'd like to see more Glock 19 sized poly pistols with DA/SA triggers. A Sig P250 would be a great platform to try that on and get rid of that mile long DAO pull.

Walther PPQ compact would fly off shelves IMO as would a PPQ in 45 ACP :D

I have no imagination, so all I can think of either already is or has been made, mostly. One example is a lightweight Government Model. Or how about this: ever hear of a Star BM and BKM? I wish Colt made them--with or without the grip safety. As long as we're wishing.

A glock chambered in 22 lr. Not a kit; a dedicated 22lr copying the size and trigger of the centerefire systems.

A Glock but all metal like the 92fs, I like to see more metal guns and less plastic on the market.

for pistols the only on I want is.....wait for it...
springfield XDM in 22LR.

for rifles I think
rossi circuit judge in 7.62 tokarev/30-30 combo OR 7.62x39/25 combo
Ruger no1 international in 243.

1.)SR45
2.)PPQ 45
3.)SR1911

I heard rumors regarding #3... but since I've never seen one in any stores
I can only assume that it doesn't exist.

1) Ruger manufactured PO8 Luger ( different configurations)
2) Ruger again Broom Handle in 357 Sig
3) 92/96 Inox 4-41/4 single stack

1.)SR45
2.)PPQ 45
3.)SR1911

I heard rumors regarding #3... but since I've never seen one in any stores
I can only assume that it doesn't exist.

the SR1911 has been in stores for over a year but due to overwhelming demand and less than satisfactory manufacturing speed, they are still quite rare. my LGS got their first SR1911 a week ago and it was gone before they got it in the display rack.

Glock 27 Single stack (.90 thick) ,when you think about all the new
single stack 9s and 45s that are in the market place Glock
has no game in this catagory.....

I have the SR1911 and see them for sale often, tell your LGS to work harder
but now that u mention it,id like to see an SR1911 Compact :D

And now for something COMPLETELY different

A bear-defense gun.

Over-under pistol chambered for 500 S&W.

If you can't hit a bear within DLP distance with two shots...well that's all you usually get.

It would be light enough and flat and compact enough that even with a 6" barrel it would be packable. Recoil is not going to be an issue. You won't feel it, or care.

I expect it could be marketed for a whole lot less than S&W's revolver.

(Because of the Aurora shooting incident, I feel compelled to mention that a 450 grain bullet trundling along at 1,000 fps (which is mild for the 500S&W) would cause at least some discomfort to a person wearing soft body armor.) When I taught my friend to reload, we loaded up some 325 grain slugs over Trail Boss powder for instructional purposes. They would be dandy home defense loads. Out of that heavy revolver, they recoil like a 22, but those 325s clocked at 800 fps out of the 4" barrel. Would hit like a 45, for sure.

Lost Sheep

Guns I wish they would make:

Smith and Wesson Model 66-1 in 2 1/2" round butt and 4" square butt. I would buy one of each.

Colt Python in 4" and 6" barrels. I would buy one of each of those as well.

I realize that they used to make these, I just wish they still did.

I just wish Smith & Wesson would do another production run of their 3rd generation auto loaders.

Also would like a J frame chambered for .44 Special
