Guns You Wish They'd Make

A Glock that won't shatter in temps below freezing
A 1911 that doesn't feel like a brick with a handle
These two just don't mix. Brick doesn't belong in the same sentence with 1911. In fact it generally appears in the other that you're complaining about over something entirely different.

A reliable AR-15
Not hard to do. Not cheap either. But I've seen quite a few that work very well.

An accurate AK
Oxymoron. Like reliable Yugo or great-handling Buick.

A 1911 that doesn't feel like a brick with a handle
"Brick" feel is something I usually attribute to Sig and HK pistols.
Try a Colt Defender .45 ... but also learn how to properly grip a 1911 too.

An inexpensive HK
Another oxymoron. It's like asking for an affordable Rolls Royce or Ferrari.

Sig P 938 with decent trigger. Less than 10 lbs. If the question was what do you wish they didn't make : answer , less plastic. They devote all their development to plastic guns where the profit margin is much more. Easier to machine plastic than drop forged. These Glocks will never be sought after classics.

An NAA Sidewinder in 32 H&R Mag (+P capable).

I want a 4.5" barrelled Springfield EMP, with the slide scaled down to 9mm min dimensions- the thing is wider and taller than it needs to be (Maybe built to hold the .45 GAP or .40 S&W ?).

Re: The Glock 380. The BATF import point system. To be able to import a pistol it has to get 75 import points. The Glock .380 doesn't score enough points. My main question though is now that Glock is actually manufacturing some of their models in Georgia rather than in Austria why not manufacture the .380 in Georgia, thus not needing to qualify it on import points.

I will add, just in the name of all things stupid, my Glock 26 will feed and fire a full magazine of .380 ammo but it is not something I would want to do on a regular basis.

Ah, you mean 327 Federal. that round actually exists!!! But probably way too much pressure for the NAA Sidewinder. By the time you make it strong enough you would have something the size of an LCR in 357 Mag, or 38 Spcl +P.

9mm S&W M&P Shield with full ambi: slide release, safety, mag release. For that matter more full ambi semi-autos in all calibers. Yeah, I'm a lefty. All the guns with ambi mag and safeties without ambi slide release are a waste as the slide release is the hardest to do and IMO the most important.

For me:

1. Bren Ten
2. Smith & Wesson 1006 but single action only ala S&W M745
2. AutoMAG in .44 AMP, .41 AMP and .357 AMP.
