Guns that you just don't like.

I just don't quiver up enough energy about it to "hate" a gun.Seems a bit intense.
But there are some I do not select.
The thing is,a lot of other folks enjoy them, and are well served by them.

They might be fine firearms,I'm just not interested.

I'd rather have a converted Mauser or Springfield than a Rem 700 or Savage 110.I don't say that to badmouth the Rem or Savage. Its just me.
I don't care for AK's,HK's,and I don't even read about Glocks. But,if you told me you like them,I have no reason to argue.I might even suggest a person looking for a handgun consider a Glock.I've heard great things about them.

I like bolt 22's,centerfire bolts with claw extractors,AR's(flat tops, free floated, and accurate),single action wheelguns that shoot big bullets,1911's,and old single shots like Rolling Blocks and Martinis.

I like double shotguns,Ithaca 37's,Win 97's,and Bennelli's

I like .375's and 30-06's and 16 guages.No interest in a 7STW or a 9mm.

Thing is,I do not claim what I like is better than what you like!!Or that what you like,is no good.

Dag nabbit, can we get off the broken record... Hi-Points are ugly, Hi-Points are ugly, Hi-Points are ugly... get an original thought.

The only ugly firearm I have ever seen is a PPK with gold etching, made a respectible pistol look like a Kansas City whore ( no offense to KC residents ).

Ugly is overrated.

1. I am ugly.
2. I am considered reliable and dependable.
3. I shoot pretty well.

Given the above characteristics, I don't hate me.:D

Well, I love the G22 and G3.

I hate with a capital H, A, T, and E the G27. For that matter, I can't stand any "Baby Glock."

I'm also not a fan of Charter Arms, Jennings (or any of its other incarnations), and (I know you guys will hate this) I don't like Kimbers. I like 1911s. Have shot Dan Wessons, Wilson Combat, Nighthawk Custom (my favorite 1911 manufacturer), and I liked them all. Couldn't stand the 3 Kimbers I shot.

Anything that has that big "G" on it. I know they are die hards. No argueing there, they are just butt ugly! Part of the search for a weapon on my part is the look of it. And they aren't much to look at.

I hate ANY semi that won't feed and extract reliably, and that aren't accurate, other than that I'll shoot just about anything once except a Nambu.

I hate ANY revolver that spits lead out both ends.

God awful things like this freaking "Elvis" Smith...

I never liked the "Gold" plated Desert Eagles. Looked more like polished brass or something to me, and besides, whats the point?
I agree, I firmly believe that anybody that has one of those abominations should immediately pack them up and ship them to me for proper disposal. I would even offer a one-time only shipping-cost refund. I would extend this offer for the commemoratives, also. Man up and get rid of those prissy looking guns!

Can't stand any DAO

I carried the Beretta Centurion .40 DAO for several years and never did get used to it. I can't stand the whole DAO genre. It's an effort to create an idiot-proof handgun for LEOs when they should be working on training officers better.

I am also not very fond of the 9mm in general as a defense weapon. It's okay for shooting paper and cans and such, however. If I'm using a handgun against something that shoots back, minimum caliber for me is .40 - with the obvious exception of odd numbers revolvers.

Pot metal guns
RG
Rohm

Eh, I recently fixed up an old RG-10 and although it sucks, It's still a good cheap plinker. But the fact is, you can't hit anything with it. I have to aim 2 feet left and 2 feet low in order to hit my target:eek: Yeah....

I dislike a lot of guns:

Polymer anything, I just don't get the appeal of them at all. Make mine steel, if possible. I'm a big boy, a couple of pounds to carry around isn't a big deal.

Striker fired guns. I've had bad luck with anything I've ever had with a striker, but I will buy an HK P7 one of these days.

1911's in general, especially the insanely overpriced ones that aren't likely to run through a whole magazine without a stoppage. I don't understand 1911 prices at all.

The really cheap pot metal guns.

S&W revolvers with locks. Dumb idea, clumsy design, too many used ones to bother with them.

Functional guns that are really ugly. It doesn't cost any more to make a good looking gun than an ugly one, does it?

Guns that you just don't like

I've been hesitant to post in this thread, but now I'll just go ahead and say it:

Taurus

Just don't trust them. I've known a couple of people who owned them with lots of headaches. I know of a PT1911 that works like a Swiss watch, too. I've fired it a number of times. Seems to be good piece. I think if you get a good Taurus, you'll be happy with it. Problem is, they sell way too many bad ones. And too many of those don't get fixed.

I just can't find a flavor of KoolAid that gets me hooked line and sinker, and I could find something to dislike or to improve upon in every gun I've ever shot or owned and that includes 1911's, Glock, HK's, Sigs, BHP's, Berettas, and others ..but the XD is one of the few guns that makes me want to go :barf: :o
