Guns that you just don't like.

Weapons I do not want to own

EAA 380 semi-auto weapons. Had one fall apart at the range as the frame split after about 20 rounds.
No weapon with a plastic frame. :barf: I'm old school and I do not trust my life to plastic. A solid steel weapon gives me a warm fuzzy.
Hi-Point weapons are ugly, and the extreme cheap price makes me wonder about the quality.
Heritage Arms revolvers, look and feel cheap.
Any overpriced snob gun.

I don't mean to interrupt this hate thread, but is there any reason to hate Hi-Points other than they're ugly? I mean ugly will kill as quick as pretty! Just curious.

i have to look good doing a lot of things, but killing is not one of them. i bought my hi points just cause of the price. i left my 9mm in the car all the time until i found out it repeatedly jammed at the range when the mag was fully loaded. i've read threads about how to fix the problem but im one that feels i should have to modify something thats brand new for it to work properly.

SO YES, I HATE HI POINTS.

if they were in my name i would have sold them by now

Sig 229

I really really REALLY tried to like it but it just didn't feel right in my hands.
Glocks really slam my first thumb joint but, perversely enough, I shoot pretty well with it. Go figure.

Hate is too strong a word.
I dislike unreliable guns, polymer frames, 1911's, and any handgun that's ridiculously :
- lightweight (scandium, titanium...)
- overweight (Super Redhawk, Desert Eagle)
- overpowered (500 mag, 45/70..)
- over-engineered (vast number of levers & switches)
- customized (wait, I could swear I saw a 1911 in here somewhere...)

Not a fan of Glocks - grip angle and styling just seem off to me. I'm still considering one as a carry piece simply for the ease of replacement, but its not a favorite of mine.

The first Sig that I fired was horrible - the grip felt enormous in my hands. It was a range rental, and I have no clue which Sig I tested, so I'll be giving Sig another shot in the future.

I personally hated the S&W M&P9 that I shot. I bought my XD-40 from the owner of the S&W - it was the replacement for his XD. Comparing the two, I can't figure out what he saw in the M&P.

As far as general gun dislike, I don't really like anything under .40 in an auto-loader, with the sole exception of .22. 9mm/.380 hold very little draw for me, but .22 is a great way to make lots of noise and plenty of holes quickly and inexpensively.

Personal love-to-hate gun - Beretta 950 .25 cal pistol. My coworker swears by one, wanted to make it his carry piece. I thought it was a cute little weapon - looked like a toy, but I figured Beretta would get the gun right. We took it out to the range and the thing locked up after less than a box of ammo. It was downright horrible to shoot. It may have been poorly maintained, but no amount of cleaning and oiling would get the slide to cycle smoothly. Talking him out of trusting that unreliable piece as his carry weapon was a struggle.

Don't like the Blackhawk chambered for the 30 Carbine. Too sharp of a report...hurts the ears. Love the thundering report of my 44 Mag!

I hate any .22 auto loader that I have to drive 45 minutes to find ammo that it likes. (I am looking at you, Kimber 1911/.22 conversion)

Hatred spills from me when I see those stupid little derringers that won't hit a pizza box from twelve feet.

I feel no good feelings for anything that says .25 on it.

...And I hate Hi-Points! Why? I hate them because they are stupid cheapo junk guns for people that don't know the 4 basic rules of firearm safety!

I don't like ANY plastic gun. Just put the "Orange Cap" back on the barrel and put it away. This includes glock and XD's.

I don't like any true MOUSE gun that you can't hold and grip with ALL 4 FINGERS. If my pinkie hangs over the bottom, then I hate it. I don't care WHO makes it.

I don't like guns chambered in Niche calibers or calibers that were designed to compensate for poor training and poor marksmanship. E.g. 40sw; 10mm; 357sig; 45gap; etc... If if wasn't designed originally as a military or specifically as a police round; or is at least 50-60 years old and still popular; then I don't even want it. Necessity is the mother of invention. Niche calibers are simply exploitation.

Glocks. I can respect their reliability, but I hate the trigger and hate the grip. Picked up an XD and immediately shot it better and it seems to be just as reliable, at least for me.

AKs. I just do not get the fascination. I guess its the Glock of rifles, but they are uncomfortable to shoot to me and their accuracy is pretty lacking.

i dont really hate but am sick of 1911's.. we have moved way beyond the design but old timers just keep on polishing and polishing that old ****.wait! whats this? a new 1911, really?
