Guns that you just don't like.

I cant say i hate any gun,i even like glocks,hi-points and Taurus auto's.
I do dislike haters tho,and fan boys equally.its ok to have an opinion but dont put others down for not agreeing with you.
I dont like revolvers, but ive never shot one either.
I dont understand .380's and i only like 9mm's for range duty.
I hate that you cant buy a 22lr pistol that works reliably but still looks like a gun.
I hate paying $30 for for a box of 50 fmj 10mm shells,And i dislike being told to reload my own ammo if i dont like the costs.
I hate seeing the word "I" start every sentance in this post,it just looks wrong.

1. Anything with anything but a steel frame.
2. Anything with any sort of "safe action"-as Finn Aagard said, the only safety is the one between the ears and behind the eyes.

Many guns are mechanical marvels. Self contained, reliable friends when needed. What's not to like? But there are some that should have never been made.
MAC-10 pressed steel riveted with wear on soft steel parts...Junk,
Webley Save the ammo...throw the gun at the perp,

Now I get in trouble- single action autos...
I know, I had an epiffany and traded in my 70 series Colt 1911 A1 because cocked and locked made me nervous. No more SA for me.

I like my Beretta 92FS INOX so much I've never shot it (I just look at it).

Wow! Some people take this thread way too seriously.

I think the glock haters are as bad if not worse than the kool-aid drinkers.

I mean they freakin' work. So how can you hate em? And would you believe it, I like 1911s (as long as they work) just as good.

This is just a useless thread to me. I don't "hate" any gun or their owners.

Dislike? Did I hear correctly? Not like a firearm?

I'll take 'em and promise to give them a good home.

It's true there are guns out there that I would not spend my own money on, but I find something to like about every single gun I've ever seen or handled.

(should I change my handle on the board to Pollyanna?)

I'm fairly sure that most of my collection would make people here just :barf: if I mentioned them all at once:D
There are things that I don't like, but I can't say I found a gun that I hate.

I've come to the conclusion I don't hate any guns, though I sometimes hate the fact that can't afford certain guns. The Redhawk-Super RH thing is dead on; I love the graceful lines of my beautiful original Redhawk, but while the Super is not as pretty, it's quite a piece of machinery and far more accurate than it's predecessor. If I had any use for another .44 mag, it would be on the short list. I don't particularly like the looks of the SA XDs or the S&W Sigmas, in fact the only S&W guns I like at all are the original 9mm and .45 ACP autos, and also 2 of my favorite guns of any make are the S&W models 52 and 41. I did nearly buy a scandium .32 H&R mag that I was fondling, though, so I guess S&W is not nearly as out as I'm letting on, but normally, I'm not a fan of their revolvers. Closest I've come to hating a gun I've owned was the atrocious AMT Govt. model 1911 that I finally unloaded for a Colt, and to a lesser extent, a Taurus PT-111 that seemed like a good idea at the time, but turned out not for me, and was replaced by a Glock 26 that completely outclassed it in every way except width. I've disliked the sheer ugliness of the Hi-Points for years, but was actually thinking of buying one for a box gun. I've decided that a used Ruger or Glock would be more to my liking and just as tough.

I don't hate the Super Redhawk, but aesthetically I'd like it better if it had a full bull barrel. I've never liked the look of the sudden bottleneck in the barrel.

I hate any auto that I need two hands to operate, aside from cycling the slide. I generally will use both hands to shoot, but I like to be able to manipulate safeties and slide stops with the thumb of my strong hand. Control position, size, and stiffness are factors here.

I hate any pistol that I don't find reliable.

I hate any firearm that routinely mangles its brass - had a MAK-90 once upon a time that made huge triangular dents in 7.62x39 in the ejection phase. Forget about reloading those... Not a handgun, but illustrates a point.

Notice I Didn't Say "Hate"

The title of the thread and OP asked for guns I just don't like.

Being prompted by one or two posts, I must admit I have both a 41 and 52 Smith & Wesson. It is the 'defense' autos I just don't care for. Although, I will acquire an old 39 at some point just for the historical significance.

I would also purchase a Browning HP, but only for the historical significance. But I won't carry it as a defense pistol and probably won't shoot it much.

As for guns I do like, that's another thread - but they are essentially S&W revolvers with pinned barrels and Colt autos designed by John M. Browning (removing hat and standing for a moment). And I must admit a serious admiration for Ruger .22 autos and all the Ruger single actions.

And allow me to thank one and all for their contributions. I find this thread most amusing - without making fun of or seriously criticizing anyone.

Like some of the others here, I too dislike like the Glock. I know it's not actually a bad gun, and it's not that there's anything wrong with it, maybe it's a matter of style. I guess the same reason I'd never buy/drive a Crown Victoria.

I don't care for polymer framed pistols, and don't particularly care for aluminum framed ones either. I don't care for pocket pistols or any other tiny firearm that won't fit comfortably in my hand. Aside from that, I can't think of any that particularly bother me.

Walther P22. Biggest POS I have ever owned. I sold it after owning it for one day. I have never had a gun jam so much in my life.

Springfield XD's... Because they are Glock wanna-be's and simply rebadged / overpriced HS2000's. Springfield slapped their name on a gun and then charges 200 more than the HS2000? Come on. And they are UGLY. But they are popular and reliable weapons. So what do I know. You'll never catch me with one though.

Of course, just one man's opinion. You didn't ask for logic, just for what we don't like.

Glocks: "Hi I'm a total lemming with no personality"

Enoughgun I'm goin to try and say this within the bounds of forum rules. While your opinion is no less important then mine or anyone else's, the mocking tone and name calling is juvenile and invalidates any point your trying to make. Clearly you have a knack for the written word, so I ask in the future you find a more palatable way to deliver your opinion.
If you expect to be taken seriously by anyone here.

Walther P22. Biggest POS I have ever owned. I sold it after owning it for one day. I have never had a gun jam so much in my life.

The Firing pin on my wife's P22 broke the first range trip. She had accidentally dry fired it without a round in the chamber.. once! If that's all it takes to break then Walther has issues.

basically

Almost every type of gun made has been mentioned as well as the usual lock-obsessive personality disorder types

I'll join in - basically agree about the "ugly gun" theory. If it looks right it fly's right

Ugly:
most sigs, glocks, h&ks, Kahrs (I do have one glock because they are so practical but I don't "like" it much, they're simple and maintenence free).
Any kind of weird looking Olympic target pistol

Pretty:
S&W Revolvers (don't give a hoot about the lock)
Most anything Colt and most 1911's
Browning HP
Many single action revolvers (even though I don't own one of these)
