Do you have a gun that is commonly thought of as crap?

walther design

The Walther design is really great. Its simple, easy to clean and shoots fantastic! I don't S&W could or have messed it up. I have a Manurhin walther, made in france in .22, and it shoots and looks wonderful. Like someone said
"opinions are like buttholes everyone has one and they all stink".

nice gun

I've owned 4 Kel-tecs: two P32's, A P3AT, and a P11. All have been perfectly reliable, although not everyone has had that experience. And everyone I've known who had to use Kel-tec's customer service has been happy with it.

I has a Sigma .40, too. Very accurate if you could get over the godawful heavy trigger. Nothing wrong with the gun. Traded it for a Ruger 357, old model, not to get rid of the Sigma, but to get the Ruger.

I've got a Raven P-25 that I bought off a friend for $30.00. At 21 feet it is incredibily accurate, has almost no recoil and has never had a malfunction in the five years I've owned it. Every gun shop I got to tells me how they won't sell guns like that, that they blow up in people's hands, etc. I have no complaints.

According to some, only a fool would trust the lives of his family to a Kel-Tec PF-9, but I find myself doing just that every summer since I bought it because mine has never failed.

My Jennings J-22 is junk, but is 100% using stingers, anything else will not feed nor fire.My Kel-tec P-11 has never failed in 18 years. Both my Tauri, the Slim 709 and 24/7 Pro DS have never had a problem. My Cimmaron 357 has been perfect and it's pretty too! Both of my NAA 22mag's have been perfect, but that is normal for them.My Davis 22mag derringer, fired the only time I needed it.

I have a Colt / Umarex M4 .22
There have been a lot of negative postings on various gun forums, but I've found my M4 to be very reliable, extremely accurate, and just a blast to shoot! :)

I read alot and so nothing on High points.

While I would never buy a guy that costs $169 and looks like a pile of pooh.

There are TONS of people that sware by them.

Yes, and there are tons of people who bought Vegas, Pacers, Yugos and (apparently) tons of people who voted for Obama.

As a matter of fact, I have two:

KelTec PF-9

KelTec P3AT

I've read lots of posts on several forums about how lousy these weapons are.

Somehow, they've worked perfectly for me. Never a misfeed or stoppage of any kind with either one. As always, YMMV.

Go figure... ;)

crap llama *not*

I have a compact Llama 45acp that is frowned on everywhere I go but I had that and a Colt Gold cup for 1911 types at the time and the "crap" Llama out shot the Gold Cup jamming and accuracy wise and I was offered a small fortune for the Gold Cup so out it went and I kept the Llama , this was late eighties\early ninties and I still have it .

70 posts before someone mentioned Charter Arms?! They used to be the serious underdogs! How funny that S&W, Colt, and Glock all had entries before CA. That's hilarious!. I like my Bulldog.

Yikes, I own a lot of crap according to this thread. One Raven, two Charter Arms, two Kel-Tecs, a Ja22 and a HiPoint carbine. All have proven to be reliable and fun.
I do stay away from snakes though. I had a Diamondback DB380 and a Cobra Patriot 45 that were junk and are long gone.

I think a certain percentage of 'crap gun' internet chatter comes from folks simply repeating negative comments, instead of their own experiences.

I agree, everything that I've read on the Internet has proved what you wrote.:p

Have had, and still have, a few :

formerly -
- a Llama 1911 .45. Still have a permanent scar on my right hand from the 'hammer bite' it inflicted

- a Jennings .22 - it always worked. Not sure why, but it did.

currently -

a CZ52 -- in 7.62x25. Big, obnoxiously LOUD, almost accurate, cheap to shoot. Pigskin holster.

- like another poster - a Bulgarian Makarov. $150 at a gun show, accurate, reliable, fun to shoot. 'Poor man's PPK'

taurus pt-22

A lot of smack is talked about anything "taurus" my only experience with them, is the pt-22. I bought it as a, cheap to shoot training gun for my carry gun S&W 642, the double action only, and LOP of the pt-22 is very similar to that of the 642.
I bought it used for a very good price, all it needed was a good cleaning a little polishing, and it will shoot mini mags all day long.

I've owned a number of 1911s over the years. Currently I have three of the so called "no-good worthless Kimbers" and I would consider buying another if I ever developed a crave for another 1911. All three have been very reliable and are very accurate. A CDP Pro often rides as my CCW.
