Anybody Carry A Revolver?

My choice today was my S&W 657 in 41 Magnum. Yesterday is was a 5" GP100. As a shopkeeper on my own property, I can carry anything I want to, any way I want to. I can also dress to conceal and almost always conceal without worrying about a big gun giving hints poking through my shirt.

I've been getting in the revolver mood lately-When in those moods I carry a SP-101 with 3" in 357-or little Taurus 38 spl. Just got into revolvers a little while ago and see many more coming very soon!!!!

I carry this sweetie when I am in the revolver mood.

Weigand Combat "Tame the Beast" conversion of the Ruger SP101 .357 magnum. It is Hybraported and wears a Hogue coco bolo mono grip.

The porting allows me to put all five 125 grain full power loads on target with almost zero muzzle rise.

In the winter I will on occasion toss a RIA 206 .38 with a bobbed hammer in my parka pocket. My wife does the same thing with her LadySmith .357, although her hammer is spurred.

.44s can be a great alternative in a belt gun...

... though I'm more likely to drop this in a holster instead:

Ruger SP101 .357 or LCR.38. I also have an older SP101 in .38, and it will handle any .38 load out there. It's a tank.

My EDC is a Taurus M85UL - I started out with a PT145 which is pretty well concealable, but the revolver is just so much lighter and if I happen to print through a T-shirt carrying IWB, I don't feel like the rounded butt is so obviously a gun as the square semi-auto grip. I also use a SmartCarry quite often and the little revolver is so much less blocky there as well.

Sure do, I keep an LCR in a lock box in my car. I typically use it when I have to go somewhere after work (can't carry there) and I don't have the option to use my primary carry gun (G26, I keep it at home during the week). Rides in a cheap Desantis pocket holster.

Went with my dad yesterday to the LGS, he picked up an LCR for himself after shooting mine.

Revolvers are still out there, and a lot of people use them every day, no doubt about that.

I only carry revolvers. I brought a few to Florida for the Winter. The Two that I have carried every day are my LCR357 IWB and 442 in the pocket.

Ruger LCR in .38 Special in either a pocket holster or cross-draw IWB. Depends on where I'm going or what I'm doing. If I'm out in the woods, GP100 with a 6 inch barrel in a OWB leather holster. Never had a need for it; it just feels nice to carry something that big.:D

JERRYS - when I get the right holster....

I see your picture as an N-frame half lug similar to my 657, for which I can recommend the Desantis stamping "001-44" thumb break or "002-44" open top "speed scabbard". I would go for the 1 3/4" belt slots, since a gun this size requires a substantial belt and fella to wear it.

I was not completely happy with the thumb break before extensive break in, since the gun can hang up on it and prevent drawing the weapon...not good. I think the speed scabbard provides adequate retention for normal carry, maybe not wilderness use.
