Your Favorite Wheelgun

Um, yeah, those are nice, but just a little too plain-jane for me. I'll take my 1914-vintage Webley & Scott Mk IV .45 ACP conversion. Runs on the same moon-thingies, drills nice groups with very mild recoil, and looks nothing short of outlandish.

These pics thanks to Oleg Volk, our local master photographer.

S&W 6.5 inch Classic DX 44 magnum!!!! Of all the firearms I have owned over the past 30 years this firearm brings the most enjoyment. I handload on a Dillon 550 B press factory equivalent handloads in both 240 grain lead bullet and copper jacketed rounds sitting atop 22.8 gr of Winchester 296 powder. The smoke ,fire, recoil, flash, and power generate a lot of excitement on the range.
Try one sometime, you will like it!

That question is like asking me how many stars there are in the sky. I think if I could only own one revolver, it would be my 4" Stainless GP-100. It is rugged, accurate, and can be stripped to the frame effortlessly. Second place would be a tie between my Model 29, Model 28, Model 27, or my model 14.

I've gopt a tie going for 686PP and 625-2. But then my Ruger new model convertible in 10mm/38-40 may jump up after I fire it.:D

"SOMETHING ABOUT MY 5.5" REDHAWKS........"

I tweaked them slightly with Millett orange-ramp front sight blades and Pachmayr Decelerators.
Just suit me, and they all make big (.410", .429", .452") holes.

Perfect for carry, competition, hunting, and fun. For me.

I am surprised the S&W Mods 10 and 15 haven't made a better showing here. These are my second favorite. I love the 38spl rd. For snubs I prefer the Colt Det Spl over the S&W J frame. Better accuracy and six shots. I haven't shot the Ruger SP101 to compare.

My S&W 629 Classic DX with the 6.5 inch barrel is the most fun to shoot firearm I own. Amazingly accurate with reasonable recoil, my favorite favorite.
