Your favorite trigger? (among the handguns you currently own)

Depends on the pistol.

For .22LR target pistols, I like the Volquartsen trigger on my Ruger Mk.III.

Among striker-fired triggers, my Walther P99AS is tops.

Among my hammer-fired DA/SA pistols, my well-broken in West German P226 is fantastic.
 
my favs

1) buckmark,great feel out of the box.and its on a .22

2) My R.I.A. Match pro .45

3) Cz 75bd (not as good as it had been hyped,but still pretty good)

4) Springfield XD40 tactical its ok for a holster gun
 
Semi-auto Centerfire: My Springfield Range Officer.
Semi-auto Rimfire: My Buckmark 22.

Single Action Centerfire: Tie between my tuned Ubertis; both 357 Mag Cavalry and 45 Colt Army models.
Single Action Rimfire: My 1st Gen Ruger 22 Convertible.
 
The best revolver triggers I have are on my single actions tweaked by Bob James. As for 1911's, the most recent one I shot was my Nighthawk Heinie PDP and I noted that it has a terrific trigger. The best out of the box triggers I have seen are on Dan Wessons. They are consistently excellent. The one on my Guardian breaks crisply at 3.75 lbs with no creep. My CCO and my neighbor's Guardian are exactly the same. Once at the CZ/Dan Wesson SHOT Show booth, there were about ten of their 1911's on display. I went down the line testing triggers. All ten felt identical to mine. I have multiple 1911's including several Ed Browns, which are probably my favorites but if your budget can handle a Wesson but not an Ed Brown, buy the Wesson. You won't be missing a thing except the name on the slide and you might have a better trigger.
 
In my modest collection of revolvers the best single action is a Colt Python but a newly acquired Dan Wesson 715 has the best double action I've ever experienced and I own several Smith's, which also have good triggers, but the Dan is outstanding.

Among semi's the Gold cup I purchased back in 1976 had a great trigger out of the box but after 40 years it has smoothed to a scary 2lb. trigger pull. :eek:
 
1911 style pistol, hands down. There are many I like, but it is the best and the go to for really accurate shooting.
 
Best of all? Sig P220 DAK with an action job. Amazingly smooth and light. I thought all DAK's were like it, and was very disappointed when my new P229 DAK was pretty heavy and not really smooth at all.

Best factory is a tie between my Astra A75, which has a DA pull almost as smooth as the P220, just a little heavier. The other is my Tanfoglio "Mossad" 9mm fullsized, like an EAA Witness from 1989 or so. DA is pretty heavy, but SA is about perfect. A close runner up to the two above is my SAR CM9 Gen 2, which is very impressive for a gun that cost $250. It makes a friend's CZ P07 which is similar in design, look bad, both in trigger and accuracy.
 
Probably my Walther P88 champion.

Beats out others in the collection like the Sig P210, X5, Python, P7, tuned 1911/2011's, S&W 52 etc
 
Striker: Steyr L9A1 (bone stock)
SA: Coonan 357 (bone stock)
DAO: Beretta Brigadier (sear & spring removed + D spring)
DA/SA: Clapp GP100 (after 1k rounds it turned to butter)

Previous owner set it up for bullseye shooting, I think.

The double action trigger pull is really nice, but the single action is ethereal...

It doesn't necessarily mean the lightest trigger. It means the trigger you like best for whatever reason, pull weight, crispness, smoothness, reset, etc... It's whatever floats "your" boat.

I have an S&W Model 19-4. Excellent double action trigger.

Of the guns I shoot and might potentially carry, I think I like that on my Taurus 605 best. Heavy (of course), but smooth and controllable. And it's "a hair" nicer than that of my other snubby, a S&W 642. The 642 has a weird little hitch that can be felt when releasing the trigger. I suspect something with the hand as it withdraws, interacting with the ejector pawls, and this is a tighter gun than the Taurus (shocking, I know).

Beyond that, various other guns, usually modern striker fired plastic pieces, are "OK, usable, not atrocious".

Revolvers- I have a smith 66 with a beautiful double action pull that a local smith did for me.
Auto loaders- I thought my custom ruger mark 1 was great, until I got a 1959 smith 41, which was awesome till I got my Hamden victors...then I got an IZH 35M that puts all of them to shame.
 
The nicest triggers I have are the MK25 (P226) with a Gray Guns flat trigger, SRT, and 17lb Wolff Mainspring and my Kahr K9. Believe it or not, my factory Glock 19 Gen 3 has a nice trigger as well.

My USP 9 Compact only have a nickel sear spring and the DA is heavier than any of my SIGs, but the SA is good along with the reset. Which is what I want in a carry gun. The nickel sear spring cleaned up the grit it had a good bit.
