Y'all forgive me. I done messed up.

I said it in an earlier post in this thread, and I WILL SAY IT AGAIN. The .45 Liberator and the LLama Omni 9mm are the two best handguns on the market today! Hands down! And I don't care who disagrees with me.

I walked away from this arguement because neither side had (or has) any desire or intention on listening to the other side. So it seemed rather futile. Then I see other threads where people who avoided posting here seem pro-S&W. I think like all major political issues, we have 10% who are strongly pro this issue and 10-15% who are strongly against. Then the other 75% are walking the fence. Maybe I am wrong, but for those of you just reading and not positing, listen to both sides carefully, read the agreement and make an informed choice.

Oh and I forgot to mention that anything made by Lorcin is high qaulity and worth every penny (as long as you only paid a penny).

Oh, I disagree, MLK.

I'm listening to the other side very closely.

But what I'm hearing has, in my view, little basis in the reality of the situation.

Essentially, here is the current crux of the ever changing argument in this thread -- it's OK to let your guard down because S&W is now owned by Americans, and Americans would NEVER screw over Americans.

For believability, that ranks right up there with:

1. New & Improved.

2. We're with the Government, we're here to help you.

And, my all-time favorite, told to me by a friend who was "with child," and used on her by a man she didn't really know...

3. It's OK, I'm sterile, I don't need to wear one of those.

What do all of those phrases have in common?

Any time you hear one of them, you know you're in for a solid f***ing.

MLK, we're listening. We're waiting to hear some reason, some logic, from will, or any on the other side. We haven't yet heard anyone on teh other side make a cogent case for their position. We want to hear how ending (or never having started) the boycott will further the cause of defending the RKBA.

We're waiting... waiting... waiting... waiting...

waiting...

FWIW I am sterile and there are definitely some new and improved Smith and Wessons out there. My wife knows me real well and the government will help me to the tune of $600.00 next week.

All that aside, can't we just all get along!?!?!

I am, at last, convinced, Will.

There is no hope of rational discussion with you.

The attempt is futile.

In the womb, I forget at what stage, the developing child, if male, undergoes what has been called the "testosterone bath". This brings about significant changes in the brain structure. In fact, many connections between the left and right side of the brain are destroyed. It is the presence of these original connections betwwen the two sides that makes women more intuitive, more emotional, and less logical, as a general rule.

In the male, the number of connections having been reduced considerably, the male mind is more able to separate fact from emotion, thus making the male less emotional and more logical, as a general rule.

I have been following this thread for a while and finally have to add my 2 cents.

This is a moral issue for which some of us have great passion (obviously).

Either you are in with the boycott or you are out.

I am not passing judgement, but having been a union member it was always put to me just like that.

Me, personally, I am in! I would like a 610 revolver, BUT until the "agreement" is repudiated and expunged, I will not support S&W directly. That means also no Kimbers (S&W makes the slides and frames I believe), no Walthers (S&W has a marketing agreement and does repairs (hope my ppk/s does not break again)) or any other support.

Now if S&W goes under, then so be it.

In the business cycle you either respond to your customers or you lose them. S&W lost my business till they reject the agreement.

Now I understand others don't see it this way. I accept that.

Others fought in wars so I did not have to. This is my battle to fight I will fight it along with those who care to join me.

So S&W or whoever you are today. Publically reject the agreement and get your lawyors to get you out or you will not get any of my money.

ps: H&K, SIG and Baer appreciate you taking your time in deciding what to do because all have benefitted from the boycott.

Actually, I am a mid-brainer having taken three tests to determine this phenomena. I am very much the male exhibiting excess body hair, a deep voice and a receding hairline.

Well, since you already rejected my plan for penance, true penance, as opposed to the false and self-serving penance first shown, please don't be surprised if none of us believe you.

Will, when logic fails..........maybe you are mistaken. You gave up logical discussion some time back. The reason is obvious. And at this point, I think asking for forgiveness is rather insulting.

Playing the clown has it's time and place. You're on stage, but the drummer took a break.

Where's R6 when we need him?

It's plain that 'Will Beararms' understands the argument. It's also clear that he has no intention of accepting the logic of the situation nor the facts that support same.

Anything further is a waste of bandwidth, I'm afraid.

Keep your revolver, sir...and wear it as a badge of your recalcitrance and poor judgement.

The majority of us with thorough knowledge of the agreement and its horrendous ramifications re: the Rights of American citizens [after all, it calls for the institution of FASCISM in the firearms industry], will work in any legal fashion necessary to force the current owners to repudiate, quickly and totally, the egregious agreement.

You, on the other hand, have the satisfaction of fondling/shooting/cleaning your ill-advised purchase...and for no other reason than that you had no more restraint than the average teenager.

Enjoy!

This has nothing to do with this thread, but I was looking at this link

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=safh.ob&d=c&k=c4

and discovered that Saf-T-Hammer had a significant increase in trade
activity about the first of August. (symbol SAFH.OB)

Interesting. Hmmm. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

Anyway, like I was saying a while back, I think we should ask the S&W
apologists
1) Have you even read the agreement, and
2) Have you bought stock in Saf-T-Hammer since they acquired S&W ?

This should save us some time arguing with
1) those who have no inkling of what the boycott is about, and don't intend to, and
2) those who are hoping break the boycott by giving the illusion that the boycott is over or is no longer valid.

Smith and Wesson really got the message, and so did every other gun maker who watched what happened to them. Most of the people at Smith feel dirty.

Here is a copy of some financial information I posted in another thread.
Notice the date of August 1, and the reason SAFH went from $0.75 to $1.00 per share.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 1 — Saf-T-Hammer Corp.(OTCBB:SAFH), and its wholly owned subsidiary Smith & Wesson Corp., filed its form 8K/A with the Securities and Exchange Commission today, detailing its unaudited consolidated pro forma financial statements, following the acquisition of Smith & Wesson Corp. by Saf-T-Hammer in May.

[snip]

Commenting on the purchase price, Steve Hargreaves, managing director of Genesis Partners said: "The extremely low multiple in the purchase price, combined with $3.25 per share in working capital, versus a $0.75 share price on the open market indicates tremendous value in this stock at the current market price."Current litigation hanging over the handgun manufacturers has created an investment environment similar to the one faced by the tobacco companies at their lowest ebb valuations, or Microsoft at the depths of its antitrust litigation. Thus far, the vast majority of verdicts have gone in favor of the gun manufacturers. We feel there is compelling value in this company for shareholders today."

[more snippage]

In the audited financial statements included in the 8K filing, Smith & Wesson reported net sales of $70.7 million for the year ended April 28, 2001. This represents a $41.3 million reduction from the previous year. The decrease in sales is attributable to the adverse consumer reaction to the agreement signed with the federal government regarding firearms safety and distribution issues. For the year ended April 28, 2001, Smith & Wesson reported a net loss of $57.6 million versus a $200,000 loss in the previous year.
A 57.6 million dollar loss !!!! Still think the boycott is not having an effect ?????

Saf-T-Hammer/Smith & Wesson denounce the agreement to improve your sales figures!
-Mike

Let's boycott Will

He ain't with us... so he is against us.

Let's unite and not respond to any of his postings till he makes some act of penance.

He is free to speak his mind and we are free to ignore him. Let's do just that. Are ya with me? -ddt
