It’s a close tie, but I would have to go with the car, frame off restoration 3 years ago, matching numbers, and a big block.
But with that said, if someone offered me the true value of my gun collection or my car,,,,, my safe would stay filled.

My guns are worth far more than my car since I refuse to invest money in something that depreciates like a new car. I buy old used cars and drive them into the dirt. Right now I have an old ford escort that gets me to and from work at 35+ mpg and costs about $800 a year in operating costs, that sure beats a $400 a month payment for transportation. For me a fine firearms are just a much better investment. How many cars can be sold for the same or more than you paid for them? Every single one of my firearms could be sold tomorrow for more than I have in them.

I have three custom built muzzle loaders, and one in particular, that have serious value. Way beyond my 1999 Dodge truck and/or my wife's 2003 Ford Focus combined.
Won't say how I acquired those rifles.
Oh, add the few modern guns I own and some muzzle loaders with nice, but not extreme values, and that jacks up the total value.
Does my antique cannon count?

Wow:rolleyes: Been "collecting" since I was 15 over 50 now and use an Excel spreadsheet to track the inventory and three safes to stowe. I think my guns are worth more than all three vehicles in my family. 06 Dodge 2500, 01 Pathfinder and a 07 Pilot keeping in mind they were all bought used. If one were to add in the value of accessories, reloading supplies, ammo and maintenance materials and tools I think the value would come close to that of my home. I know it exceeds the first 3 or 4 homes I bought.

When I bought a larger safe a while back I gave my smallest to my son and have been helping him stock it these days. If I could just get him past his Glock fetish. The boy loves'em.:p

I accidentally voted 'automobile.' My gun collection is currently worth more. I hope that that is a good omen that I will be getting a nicer car soon, and not a bad omen that I will be losing some guns.
