Why do people dislike glock?

jager1,
I agree with you about posting the merits of whatever the pistol discussion at hand is. . Some of threads about "this vs that" often degenerate into brand name shout downs. I am trying to avoid that now as i'm sure most of us are but sometimes I cant help but post that flippant response. In any case I love guns but the endless debate over the subjective intangibles of each gun drives me nuts. Anyways, its our job to diseminate the info we want from that we dont.

Cheers all

Shake, I never said I have a Glock that ran over 300,000. YET!

Here is my personal record: 1st Gen G21 about 25,000 2nd Gen G21 just over 70,000, G17 about 28,000 G19 about 12,000, G22 and G23 about 6,000 each, G34 about 8,000, G26 not even 1,000! It's brand new, and I won't carry it until I have at least 2,000 rounds thru it.

Now Shake, what's your track record???

9X45,

Here is my track record: Zero GLOCKS that I've fired zero rounds through.

Did I say you did?

Keep shooting, between the eight you listed you're about halfway there!

I'm not going to spend the time to read all of the posts up till now, so forgive me if I repeat what someone else said.

My friend has a lot of Glocks and I just can get used to the feel. Their big, blocky, and the worse thing for me is that they point high. I have to work too much to get the nose down. I've also had a hard time getting the barrels clean when I've worked on my friends. It takes a totally different method than I use on my other guns.

All the ones that I've shot have been accurate and I've only had problems with a model 34 that would stove pipe if you didn't strong arm it. So I would agree that they are reliable.
