Recent buy, online auction

I recently sold about 90% of the guns I collected (most were WWII) and wanted to get back into target shooting so I bought this beautiful S&W model 41. at an online auction. I put in a low bid never expecting to win, but for some reason (small auction?) no one else bid.
Amazing condition for its age. I believe it is from 1977 - 78

Already have a couple currently on layaway awaiting freedom in a few weeks, another CZ 100 (a .40 model vice my other 9mm's), and a Beretta 8000 D.

Why? I simply love both of these pistols (especially the CZ 100), and have been wanting to get another DAO Cougar to replace the one I previously owned in the past.

Above, I put my hat in the ring with the Arex Rex Zero 1 from Slovenia. Military Arms Channel just posted a video of a torture test of firing 1,000 rounds in 14 minutes. After disassembling it after the test, there was very little wear. STILL, I'd really like to fondle one before actually purchasing it.

Great looking pistol in that video, especially with those grips.

Well, I just put a Rock Island Armory 1911-A1 45 Tac on layaway. I have a Springfield Armory 1911 that shoots very nicely but has had erratic ejection that nobody seems able to diagnose and fix.

So at $369.99 NIB I thought I would take a chance. I know a number of people who have had excellent results with RIA 1911s and I have heard of some who have had bad luck as well, so we will see.

I am hoping that this pistol will be reliable and have acceptable combat accuracy. If so, I will be pleased with it, after a few changes.

Let's hear it! Which Semi Auto are Considering Buying Next and Why? Also, are you considering the sale or trade of an existing Semi Auto?? Next on my list is a G23 or Springfield XDM compact (.40 S&W)..
The list of "Pistols that I'm Considering Buying" is quite different from "Pistols that I Want." The second list is quite a bit longer and pricier. Frankly, I'm pretty happy with my pistol situation, and I think I have all of my needs covered. However, I am actually considering buying:
1. A Gen 4 G19 -- I have one, but it'd be really nice to have a backup for it.
2. An XDm 3.8" Compact in .45 -- Because I sure like the idea of carrying a .45, and this one carries 10 rounds in that Goldilocks pistol size that I like.
3. An ISSC M22 -- Because it looks and feels very much like a G19, might even fit my holsters, and it sure would be nice to be able to practice using some of my .22LR ammo.

I'm not sure I'll ever get around to buying these, as I tend to consider purchases for forever and a day before I actually do anything, but that's my list.

An inexpensive 40 caliber pistol to give to my FiL for Christmas. That is the only caliber he doesn't reload for us yet. :)

Hopefully something a little better than a Hi Point.

I am partial to 3rd. Gen Smiths. 1006 Being highest on my wish list. I would also like a high capacity 9mm around the house as all my 9mm are compact and sub compact. 5900 Series Smiths would be prefect with 5903 highest on that list.

That describes my situation, too, but I doubt I am done buying.:D;)

No particular order... Sig P320 with a red dot factory installed. CZ Tactical Sport 9 mil. Ruger 22/45 lite. Rock Island Baby Rock 380

Reading through this thread, I've come to realize that there is a lot of research that I need to do, as many of the guns listed are ones that I had never heard of until I Googled them.... but then I've just gotten into the shooting and gun scene back in September.

Current line are a full sized Sigma Smith (SW9VE) that is prone to stove piping even the good ammo. I'm considering trading/ selling versus trying to get the ramp polished. I also have an M&P .22 Compact that is lots of fun to shoot.

I'm looking to purchase another M&P, the Shield 9 within the next couple of months. It's relatively inexpensive, has decent reviews, and I really like the feel. I also think it would make a good CC gun.

Exco

Got it. Wilson Combat Beretta brigadier tactical. It's freaking sweet. Smoothest action in the stable. Smoothest double action pull I have ever had the pleasure of shooting.
