Which Semi Auto are Considering Buying Next and Why?

Thinking about picking up a 9mm Walther PPS M2 LE edition tomorrow.

I'm looking for a deal on one of these.

Star 30M I just like it.
Beretta 92FS- I miss the two I had before.
S&W 6906- A pretty one, the ugly one I have now shoots fine though.

I want a pocket auto, I am leaning towards a Ruger LCP Custom

I am also wanting to pick up a Canik TP9SF because it is a reliable, high capacity, AFFORDABLE, full-size, semi auto.

Last Saturday at my LGS I considered both the S&W Shield 9mm and the Walther PPS M2 9mm.. and left with the Walther!

Very glad I did. Everything good I read and watched on Youtube about the M2 proved very true. I've never carried anything with less than 10 rounds in years, but for this pistol I will make an exception!

Yesterday traded an old .308 safe queen for most of the cost of a cz p07. Hitting the range tomorrow, ah nothing like the anticipation of going shooting with something new, heh

I bought a LCP Custom from KY gun co for just $220 shipped on sale. Its a heck of a buy. It has a very nice 7 pound roll DA feeling trigger although the trigger is not a full DA. I put the Hogue wrap on it and bought a Desantis Nemesis holster and it makes for a great pocket pistol. I can't see how anyone would be disappointed for this price point.

Got my next one done. Picked it up yesterday. Sold a couple that I dont use for one I want.

Remington R51.Good thing I ran down right away. Got there and back before the wife got home.
I get back and she lays in with all the stuff we could have used that money for.
I said " yea thats why I ran down there so fast" Mine!!!!!

All i have time for is a quick photo so here it is.

If another handgun--at all-- another (third) East German Makarov.

Otherwise a CZ-75 Compact.

Exotic handguns made out of steel and very concealable.
Other than the collector WW2 Sauer 38H and Mauser Hsc, all of mine are Makarovs and the Sig 232.

90% sure it will be a 1911

Candidates are ( in no particular order):
CZ
Ruger night watchman
Ruger lightweight
Colt

Thealthernative would be an HK .45

I was introduced to the Arex Rex Zero 1 in 9mm by the Military Arms Channel. MAC put it through his torture test with a Sig Legion P226, and it was one of the best he had tested

*Note to self: before bringing a gun to market, film a bogus torture test however many times is necessary for grit to not make it into the guts by chance, once (or take more proactive measures if possible). I've seen the MAC 'test,' and I can't believe it's convincing one way or another for anyone; but I guess that's because I bothered to learn what grit jams up in these guns, and how (and that it's the same for every striker fired semi-auto SIG/Glock derivative in existence). Then again, I shouldn't be surprised since people bought Fireclean because of the claim it magically turned fouling into smoke that only coincidentally smelled like french fries.

At this point, the only semi-auto I'm pining for is an RDB in 6.5 Grendel, but bubbling up the list close behind it are either a USP40 (for a 10mm conversion I recently learned about & love the concept of) or a second R51 (if I find an example that seems significantly nicer than my fluffed/buffed 2014 model)

Might as well jump on as well....

I have many on my want list but I also love tinkering and have quite a few "upgrades" i want to do first(like CGW pro package on my sp-01), but that doesn't stop me from having a list of "next" guns. So in order of highest desire:

CZ 75b shadow
Wilson Combat Beretta 92g
CZ P-01
Springfield trp 1911
Sig 226
Ruger LCP - Custom
Glock 27 with caliber conversions
Smith and Wesson 5609
Canik TP9SF
Ruger Mark IV/III/II or cz cadet kit

Ok so now in realistic order of purchase due to the roll they will fill in my collection:

Ruger LCP
22lr pistol
p-01

The rest are just fun and ones I find myself drawn towards at each gun show. :D

MAC's videos, for me at least, are just food for thought. He states that they are so for reasons he has stated. Even so, when I see that one sampled pistol do so well, I can only come the conclusion that Arex probably got something right. It is possible 99 other Zero 1s could go through the exact "test" and be the worst he has tested...but not likely if this one did so well.

How I choose my purchases is personal to me like I'm sure it is to all others who purchase firearms. MACs videos only carry weight if the viewer believes they carry weight. Some care if Navy SeALs carry a certain weapon, some care what Ayoob says, while others care what a kid at a gun store says.

For me, MAC's videos show weapons I may purchase put through tests that I will never put mine through. it is even 100% probable I'd purchase one of his tested pistols that did poorly JUST because I know it would never see any similar conditions just because I liked it for whatever reason.

I want a Tanfoglio Mossad Compact and a Sig p320 .45 Compact.

One of those should be my next.

Walther Q5 match.
I don't really think I have to explain why, I think you can figure it out.

Oh my. The want is strong with this one.

I think I could even get over the crappy thumb button mag release for the Q5.

The top 3 on my list are wheel guns, but numbers 4 and 5 are a Bersa BP9 and a Taurus TCP. Why? I already have a P-07 for a duty size carry gun, and a PT111 G2 for a decent capacity compact carry piece. The BP9 and TCP will give me a single stack and a pocket pistol to round out my carry options. I'll be pretty well covered for any clothing choices, from gym shorts to heavy winter wear.

I plan on buying the HK VP40. I really enjoy shooting my VP9 and have a feeling the VP40 will perform just as well. I don't sell firearms in order to acquire another.
