Which .22 handgun is your favorite plinker?

I like them all but my #1 favorite has to be my S&W M41 pistol I bought second hand in 1972. From All Army matches to shooting pigeons in the barn to popping tin cans at 100 yards I have no other gun that has fired as many rounds or caused me so much pleasure. In 37 years all I have done besides clean it is replace one spring and the barrel. The barrel was my fault because I ruined it dry firing to much.

Favorite 22lr plinker

I have a Buckmark Camper and Ruger MkII, both with 5.5" bull barrel. Between the two it's a toss up. I also have a S&W Model 41 and a Taurus 94, but they are in different classes.

I have shot the colt peace maker .22 revolver as well as the Ruger Super Single Six, the Ruger target w/ the 7" bull barrel, and the S&W Model .22 Target w/ a 7" barrel . My favorite by far was the S&W. It felt very natural in my hands. I have never picked up a handgun for the first time and hit my target 6 out of 9 times.

I only have one, a single six new model. Really like it but the tree rats are totally safe when I shoot if off hand with iron sights. From a bench I'm OK with it but it sure is hard to carry that 50 pound bench on a hike and tree rat hunt.

I've had my Buckmark for 20 years now. By far my fave plinker, small game, pest control and tin can killer.

Would like to own a S&W 41 someday too.

My personal favorite is my Ruger Standard (MK I). My wife has a Buckmark that both of us enjoy as well.

I enjoy plinking with my P-22. Unfortunately, my 9 year old shoots it more than me. It is my favorite plinker that I own. Years ago I use to shoot a friends Colt Diamondback 22. I loved shooting that revolver. One of these days I hope that I can add one to my collection.

Koolminx we have good taste:D

I gave mine a good cleaning and it has become TOO sensitive. 1.75 lbs trigger. Need to throw some gunk in it;)

My 4" 617-1 6 shooter, made back in '93. By far the best handgun purchase I ever made. I learned how to shoot double action with that gun and it goes with me to the range at least 50% of the time. I've put uncounted thousands of rounds through it and it still locks up tighter than any other revolver that I own. I also own a Model 41 but it takes a back seat to the 617.

My CZ Kadet slide on my 75BD. I had two different Rugers, sold them both and couldn't be happier. The red dot makes a world of difference too.

I have 4 plinking guns that go to the range almost every time. Ruger 10/22, and a Mark II, Walther P22, and a GSG5. Thought I have to say the GSG is my favorite.

S&W M18 Combat Masterpiece

Very accurate, and I've always preferred the balance of a 4" barrel over a 6" barrel for off-hand shooting.
