Whats your favorite handgun caliber?

The Other Magnum

For my personal favorite in a wheelgun: .41 Magnum
Why? Because it has plenty of power for almost anything I'm likely to shoot, can be handloaded from light to heavy loads, penetrates better than the .44 in many cases and has slightly less recoil.

What's that? Hard to conceal?
Not really.
At least this one isn't that difficult;

For a semi-auto pistol, the .45 ACP still wins.
As much as the 10mm resembles the semi-auto version of the .41 Mag, most loadings - and most platforms - aren't using it to its full potential. They're slightly glorified .40 S&W loads.

The .45 ACP, however, still works well after almost 100 years of service.

I likes me some of that 9x18 caliber. It's affordable, effective, and every gun available here that's chambered for it is reliable, accurate, inexpensive, and well-made.

If .45 cost the same as .22lr I wouldn't shoot anything else. And that's both .45 Colt and .45acp, heck I'd probably love .45 Schofield as well.

Semi-auto: 10mm Auto

Wheelgun: .41 Magnum

Yeah, I like oddballs... Especially when they work better and are more versatile (IMNSHO) than all the "popular" calibers...

IMNSHO = In my not so humble opinion

9mm, .45 acp, .357 magnum. In that order.

For 30 yrs. I have been a 1911 .45 acp shooter but I'm finding recently that I can get more hits on target faster and more accurately with 9mm.

When we're getting serious, 10mm hands-down.. in the Glock 20, then the Glock 29. New York Reload style.

.45 1911 and .22LR for general practice and fun.
