A S&W model 34 is also a good choice!

Hey Model 18,,,

Those are some very pretty pistolas,,,
One each of those and my K & J frame personal collection list is complete.

Well, maybe then I would need a Model 43 Airweight,,,
I chickened out on an auction for one at gunbroker,,,
Been kicking my own @$$ ever since then.

.

Thanks Aaron! I had a model 43 but sold it and got the 34 instead. The 43 takes only standard velocity ammo, which can be a problem to find

Not my most accurate 22 rimfire but by far the most fun and the one I would grab if I was ever to use a 22 rimfire for an emergency. Dependable and accurate enough.

I can't vote.

I've probably put more rounds through a Browning Buckmark Plus than any other .22 handgun, but I also very much like my rather rare Ruger SP101 (4" full underlug barrel) DA and Single Six (5.5" barrel .22LR / .22WMR convertible) SA revolvers. The latter is particularly fun in .22 mag. I like 'em all; can't pick "a favorite."

I've never shot a D/A revolver but have shot a S/A revolver. The semi is way more fun! One day i'd like to own a Model 18 Combat Masterpiece or Model 17. I'd also like to own a M41 and Kadet but funds are low right now.

my S&W 41 is so good its scary it was my steal gun used I got it when i was 22 had it for a year its one of my babies... I love to show her off.

I don't have but 3 22's.
1) N.N.A. 22lr/22mag (bug)
2) H&R 949 revolver (good, cheap, accurate plinker)
and my favorite
3) S.A. MIL SPEC 45 acp with a tack driving 22lr Marvel conversion on it!

My Buck Mark is the most reliable gun I've ever had. 25 years ago I loved my Ruger (now I). However. it has now been retired and I use the Browning to play with.

My favorite .22 pistol by far is a 1989 vintage Browning Buckmark. Back when I used to shoot it a lot I could hit very well with it. Much more accurate for me than my Ruger Mark II or the other .22 pistols I have owned so far.

Honestly, my favorites are my two MKIIs. Up until recently, I shot them more than any other gun I own.

I paid twice as much for my S&W M-18, and it is one fine revolver, but I shoot it about 10% as much as either of my MKIIs.

love plinking with this fine specimen from the late 1950's ( 1957 to be exact ) . Had to add a touch of fabric paint to the front sight, because the operator, though born in the same year did not hold up as well as the revolver LOL !

Thanks for all the replies.

I own all three types I listed in the poll. My favorites in order of preference are:

DA revolver
SA revolver
Semi-auto

My collection consists of a S&W M617, M63, a Ruger Single Six and a MkIII Hunter. I had a Browning Buckmark once but I gave it to my niece when she turned 12.

I'm about to bid on a K-22 on gunbroker, wish me luck.

Believe it or not I have 3 Ruger Mk II bull barrels (one of which I have just about shot the rifling out of over a 20 year period of HEAVY use) and I love them but my favorite is kind of accidental. I got a Springfield Mil spec .45 back in the 90s and while attempting to squeeze the slide to tighten it up cracked it. I was bummed. I have tightened quite a few slides and never cracked one before. Oh well, live and learn. Then on a whim I bought a Ciener .22 conversion and put it on the Springfield frame and after some tuning of the springs is now my favorite rimfire pistol. It has a 1 3/4 lb. trigger pull and a checkered front strap. I love having the same frame grip and trigger and sight picture as my other 1911s while saving a bunch on ammo costs. And it fits in an Ernie Hill speed holster.
