What would you do with $1000 right now?

So much for change back.

Darren,

There actually was a 4" Colt Python at my dealer that was tempting me very strongly...but in the end my love of stainless overwhelmed that temptation. :)

I went in today and ordered a Sig P220 Carry Elite Stainless. So much for the idea of getting change back. The thing ended up being $1099 out the door. I ended up actually having to spend more money. The sad thing is the wait is going to be 2-3 weeks. I am not sure I will be able to last that long. :o

This is the model I ordered. :)

From your two choices, and considering your current collection I'd go with the FN.
If it were MY collection I'd buy a Walther P5

I just bought an FN-HP-SFS. That makes 16 FN/BWG HPs. Still not enough. The next $1000 goes for more of the same.

I do own HKs, SIGs, and others, but the HP is by far the best of the best.

I always wanted the M-4 (CAR-15). I just took a trip to Oregon to pick up the last of the parts for my M-4gery (none to be found in Kalifornia). I put it together last week, and we shoot it this weekend.

I was able to find a Charles Daly Defense lower for less than $200, RRA parts kit for $90, a RRA mid-length flat top upper (complete) for $799, and a DPMS 6pos stock for about $130. The rear sight was about $130 as well. A little expensive, but I think it's going to be worth it, and comparable guns are going for $1200 to $1500 around here anyway.

You want to increase your collection, this would be my choice in your shoes. For one, it's totally different than anything you have. For another, after you spend the $1000 on the gun, you have a perfect excuse to put a little more into it, thus the increase in value. Last but not least, if you don't like it, assuming you could even get the parts for it, you could always get more than what you have in it, back. In today’s market, the damn things don't last an hour on the shelf at any price. I think the hunting of the parts, and the build, were as much fun as the gun will be. Have fun!

PBP, if I had all the guns you have, I would ignore your self imposed rule and buy $1000 of ammo and have a ball shooting some of those safe queens. Or I would add $1000 to it and buy a Daniel Defense M4 Carbine and an EOTech 516 and learn to be a rifle guy. Rifles are way more fun than handguns.;)

If I could not buy anything but gun related stuff I would have to say a new 45 and a lot of target ammo to practice with.
