What would you buy if you are only allowed to own three pistols?

Glock 22 with .357 and 9mm conversion barrels
Glock 23 with .357 and 9mm conversion barrels.
Browning Hi-Power in .40 with .357 and 9mm conversion barrels.

;)

10mm commander 1911

9mm CZ75 Compact

357 / 38 Smith 649 snub or Kimber K6 (have not used the Kimber enough to say 100% over the Smith)

All pistol needs for all practical intents would be met by this combo.

For me...

But then what would the fun in all of that be...

Only 3 pistols

The OP stated three handguns.

1. The revolver is a good choice. I would opt for a .357 because it is versatile and can shoot .38 Specials.

2. Can either of the semi-autos be bought as less expensive 40cal? I'd buy that and have the option of converting it to a 357 Sig or 9mm

3. The semi-auto that can be converted to a .22lr

Most important, they all have to fit your hand.

I like this line of thinking.
1. This would be my new 4” Python. Plus I have a Henry to match up with this.
2. Not sure who all makes these conversions but if SIG is one that would be my choice.
3. For me this would be my CZ75B SA with the Cadet conversion.

I think I'm going to change my initial selection. Lets say my wife came to me one day and said "you can only have 3 pistols". And, lets assume that I love my wife and wanted to stay married to her. Here are the 3 I'd pick:

1. Full Auto, transferable HK MP5
2. Korth 9mm
3. Sig X-Five Level 1 9mm (Germany)

I'd just make the Korth my EDC.

By odd coincidence I only own three handguns. A Glock 26, a Glock 21, and a SW 642.

Now if I could just let go of some darn shotguns and .22’s I could free up some money and space.

Well since we’re dealing in a fantasy question I’ll reply in kind.
1-Han Solo’s blaster
2-John Wayne’s never needs reloading 6 shooter.
3-Capt. Kirk’s phaser.

Gotta go with Kirk's phaser - it eliminates the threat, and completely cleans up after itself!

Yeah, I’d rock one.

1. T/C Condtender from E Arthur Brown
2. Volquartsen .22 target pistol
3. Maybe a Korth or maybe a Freedom Arms... hard to pick

I am assuming that custom handguns are off the table, or I would be going to see Mr. Bowen about a Blackhawk.

It’s a fun question. I don’t read anything ominous into it. I suppose I’d recommend…

1) A hi capacity, full size 9mm for home defense.
2) A sub compact or compact 9mm for ccw…something with magazine interchangeability with #1.
3) A mid-size 357/38 revolver that can do double duty of #1 & #2.

Defense and reliability being primary consideration. In a perfect world I’d add a 22lr like a Ruger Mark series pistol for fun.
