Both my wife and I prefer S&W J-frames for carry and night stand use. Her's is a S&W M-637 with a 1-7/8" barrel and Crimson Trace Laser grips....it fits her to a Tee and is very useful at cross the bedroom distances at night. It's her carry piece as well, usually in a belly pack with our Lab on a short leash. God help any fool that accosts her on their daily walk.
Mine (formerly hers) S&W M-36 with adjustable sights and a 3" tube. It's more accurate than I can hold (once shot a 1-3/8" group of 5 shots at 35 yd while trying out her Crimson Trace grips). In the 30 years we've owned it, I had the cylinder stop replaced (gratis including shipping) by S&W last year. A VERY GOOD GUN, and a pleasant companion hiking, fishing, or the occasional trip into the big city's innards for dinner and a show.
Both have been pic'd here several times...do a search if your interested...they're comfortable, deadly if needed, and stoked with Remington's Golden Sabre 125 JHP's, offer all that we need in a defensive revolver.
Best Regards, Rodfac (30 Cal's Dad)
