What is your Self Defense Revolver?

Not my nicest wheelgun, but it is the most accurate of the bunch. Llama .38

On my person its a S&W 642 or Colt DTS.

In my vehicle a S&W model 65 with magnum rounds.

For the house a S&W model 19 with magnum rounds.

Carrying concealed duties: Colt Cobra, circa 1968, loaded with six rounds of 158 grain .38 Specials. "House" revolvers include a Smith Model 641, 2" barrel, chambered in .357 Magnum but loaded with +P .38 Specials (wife's bedside piece); a Smith Model 686 plus with 4" barrel, loaded with seven rounds of 125 grain .357 Magnums (my side of the bed); a Taurus Model 415, 2 1/2" ported barrel, chambered in .41 Magnum (stowed in the basement rec room) and a Model 60 with a 3" barrel, chambered in .38 Special (residing on the top of the hutch in the dining room).

I don't carry yet but soon.. My Home defense used to be my XDM but it's replaced with the Raging Bull 44 6".....

I carry 2 all the time. My primary is a S&W 640 (in 357 magnum) loaded with 125 grain buffalo bore ammo.

My back up is kind of a joke but I love it, it is a NAA 22short mini revolver. I could CCW it in a thong if I had to.

My other carry gun is a 357 magnum but it is a semi automatic. It is a Coonan Classic. I carry it in a should holster when my job requires me to go in to bad areas. When I carry the Coonan I still have the other two guns on me as well. The Coonan is probably my favorite range gun so I shoot it a lot as well as the other two guns.

If I am fully decked out I have 51 rounds of 357 magnum on me and 5 rounds of 22short :p .The Coonan has 5 mags and the J-frame has 2 speed loaders.

When I am hunting I leave the Coonan home and carry my Magnum Research BFR in 45/70 as a back up to my rifle (all so a 45/70). I still have the other two revolvers on me (J-frame and NAA)

p.s. home defense gun is a Remington 870 in 12ga.

Upstairs I have an AO 1911. Downstairs I have a Rossi snubby .38. Yeah, they are both POS, blah blah blah. Couch commandos not withstanding, both have been 100% for 25+ years.

I have a number of revolvers I have in rotation for HD, all pre-lock S&W: S&W 625 4" and PC 5" (.45 ACP), S&W 624 4" (.44 Spl.), and S&W 686 4" (.38 Spl./.357 mag.). The last one or two I've had the most recent at the range get the duty in a small safe in my bedroom. All are amazingly accurate and reliable. The do share duty sometimes with a pistol I've had the most recent at the range. I usually load with Gold Dots.
