38 special I enjoy working up loads. It is also a great cal for my grandchildren thay can handle it well and enjoy shooting something bigger then the 22lr. Work with your kids or grandkids, teach them shooting range saftey, we need more young people coming into the sport.

my choice

the 22lr it's cheap and fun and I can shoot a lot longer. 45 apc because it's my carry weapon, 45colt 44 spl 44mag because their fun and I like the feel of them in my hand and the boom they make. but I also like to shoot 357. 38 9mm 380 and 40cal.

I enjoy .45 Colt. Cost doesn't enter the equation for what I enjoy the most. I probably shoot more .22 ... But .45 Colt is the most fun (and yes I have .38/357 and .44/.44Spec revolvers) .... More than just fun, as you are shooting history too. Then really go retro and shoot some .45 Colt BP. Yep, fun.

sad story

My fav-to-shoot is the grand 41 Action Express.

Except brass is now made of gold, and tough to find after it gets launched into orbit.

Gotta love that thunderous boom when a 44 mag round lights off from a 4" barrel. People seem tend to forget they are at the range firing their own handguns. :)
But I loved shooting my 45 Hardballer

For just plain fun the 22lr,
hard to plink with my 1911's,spend too much time looking for brass. But the.45 would be 2nd
32 H&R/357 third
9mm fourth
40 fifth
44 mag sixth

I voted 44 Special because it's fun to shoot and fun to reload. The Model 24 is a great revolver and the combination of N-frame Smith and 44 Special make me smile. I can feel the differences in powders and bullet weights.

I posted other. I never would have thought I would have voted for this one, but since I have started shooting a Colt Bisley 71/2" .32WCF, built in 1903, this has become my favorite & one of the most accurate!

I love the 10mm. but not in an auto pistol. The 6 1/2" S&W 610 is my favorite handgun, especially for bowling pins. I shoot this more accurately and faster than any other pistol I own. A 180 gr. jacket bullet at 1350 FPS does a job on the pins. Hit them just below the center of mass and they do a back flip off the table. Isn't a bad carry gun in a vertical shoulder holster either, same load except substitute XTP hollow-points for the flat-points.

For general target shooting I shoot mostly 115 gr 9mm. However, I most "enjoy" 158 gr .357 mag from my 4" Tracker.

45 ACP..Just a very fun gun to shoot. I usually take around 100 to 150 rounds each time i go out. I have to favore the 45 ACP as it is the only pistol i own right now:eek:. soon to get a XDM 9MM for the wife

For maximum fun factor, its really tough to beat 7.62x25. Its really inexpensive, very powerful, and soft on recoil. I absolutely love the round, and one of my CZ52's always goes to the range with me.
