I use my nick for first person shooter video games. I thought it sounded cool. I use incursion as my first choice for most places, but if I can't get incursion, I usually use limniscate which is supposed to be spelled lemniscate. It's a mathematical polar equation that looks like an infinity sign, but since my last name is lim, I spell it with an 'i'. My friends gave me the name because of my spin move in basketball.

Well, I've told this story a number of times here on TFL. I guess once more won't hurt.
Its an old nickname from my days as a Boy Scout leader. My hair went gray when in my early thirties (family trait, what can I say? ) When I attended an advanced scout leader training course called Wood Badge I was assigned to the Fox Patrol. Took my fellow scouters all of three minutes to make the connection. And so, I became the Gray Fox.

Since light travels faster than sound, isn't it logical that some people appear bright until you hear them speak?

Years ago when I became a full member of my previous coven I took on the magical name of "Jorah Moss." I ended up using Jorah as my everyday nickname, even after leaving that group, and much later decided to use Moss for an online nickname in some forums.

In my former profession I was continually in some kind of trouble where I had to wait for someone else to give me permission to respond in what should be a predictable manner. I'm thinking of changing to "Buzzard's Roost."

Zook (pronounced like "book") is an Amish surname, and a nickname given to me by my woodworking partner, Stoltzfus.

Thirty or so years ago, my parents decided that Eric would be a good name for a boy, and I am from Indiana, not very original, but at least it's easy for me to remember.

This was the first firearms board I ever saw, didn't know I would be here so often, so picked something I could remeber till next time, and there were a bunch of them on the table in front of me, under the monitor. I tried 147Jhp, but had to put letters first.

First initial, last name. My wife uses my login and goes by her first name. I told her I wanted to change my TFL screen name to OneRaggedHole, but she said I'd have to earn it first.
