User Names. What does yours mean?

Originally I tried to register under "bluesman," a nickname an old boss of mine gave me. Someone already had it though.

I used to listen to old blues songs whenever I would get depressed at work. (a lot) My new job is a lot better, but the music and the nickname stuck.

Been listening to a lot of Mississippi John Hurt lately. Mmmmmm... Good. :)

My real name is Nicholas. Some people still call me Nick.

I got my current handle from some very small children who couldn't quite say Saint Nicholas. It got blurred into Say-nee-klas, then Santa Claus.

I have a blue eyed dog. And that's what I see when I'm at the puter, 2 blue eyes staring at me saying "Why are you messin' with that when you could be doing something important, like playing with me!"

My name is Larry Correia. Its Portugese for "Hulking Gun Fanatic". :D For those of you have met me in real life you know that I don't exagerate the hulking part. ;)

Obviously, I post under my real name ( I was born in Santurce, P.R., and am generally called by my middle name, Hunt, which was my grandmother's maiden name, a common one in Britain). I also sign "crankshaft" because I tend to identify with that character in the funnies, and I post under that name on most other boards.

PROSOUTH What does it mean? It means I'm from Tennessee and that I'm For the old Southern way of life. Not the politically correct bull$h17 the liberals are trying to revise our heritage and history into.

Pro-South, you can change it in the books, but the truth is still the truth and our honor you can never take.

This handle is part of our e-mail address and hubby wasn't creative when he signed up here. Then I began using his username. So now you have to look at the signature: he doesn't sign his posts on TFL, I do.

I decided on mine because I usually poach on a site reading and seeing what it's like before I post. There have been lots of times that it has paid off for me.
The sign off is because it's what I wish for all gun owners.

Best wishes Best of luck Poacher.

My hometown in Germany is called Lendringsen. I figured "Lendringser" would be unusual enough to guarantee its availability everywhere. I have the same SN on TFL, GlockTalk, eBay, Hotmail, AOL and a zillion other sites.

My nickname has been Spazz for 15 years or so...mostly coming from my involvment in the music world, mixed with certain comical personality traits. I am known on other forums as some version of ***Spazz, most notably the Fender Discussion Page (a great guitar/music related forum site... www.fenderforum.com ) as TeleSpazz. A fellow FDP'r turned me onto this site when I had some questions there about getting into trap shooting...thus the name.

This is a really good forum, and the folks here have made me feel very welcome, and helped alleviate the horror of the fact that I just moved to Commiefornia 7 months ago....

Al Mondroca or...

Almond Roca

I don't actually like the stuff, but it makes a great semi-plausible name. I use it on one of my two dozen or so Safeway cards. I've also used Guy Bonhomme (Guy Goodguy), Justin Case, Justin Thyme, and the like.

Also my e-mail address. Hung on me by faculty, staff and students at college because my Rollerblades were my chosen form of transportation. Most had almost been run over by the end of my first semester. (I now look at the location of the classrooms when making out my schedule:O) It stuck because I always have at least two blades on me almost all the time. However, due to a stuck cleat on my mountain bike, in front of my co-workers no less, I have today been renicknamed (is that a word?) "Crash" for the forseeable future. (I hate when that happens! :D)

The 67 was what yahoo needed to let me be "blades". (Good thing my girlfriend was here to point out I forgot to put that in ;))
