The ONLY Pro-firearms Presidential Candidate for 2008!

To All Fellow Gunners,

Congressman Ron Paul,(R-TX), has announced his bid for the republican presidential nomination in 2008. As you know he is a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment. He has in the past openly expressed his disdain for the BATFE and their henchmen-like tactics. He has personally sponsored legislation on behalf of firearms owners to allow us to buy more firearms and breakdown government restrictions and regulations on what the government says we can or cannot buy. As some of you may know, he sponsored H.R. 1703, which was a bill that would abolish the "sporting clause". His belief is that ALL gun laws are unconstitutional and he will work towards the abolishment of gun laws. Not only is Congressman Paul an unwaivering supporter of the Second Amendment, but he will work towards returning our country back to a "Bill of Rights Culture". If you look
at the early contenders in both the democratic and republican parties you will find that every candidate EXCEPT Ron Paul is anti-gun, anti Bill of Rights and at some point or another in their career has voted against our Constitution in some way or another. This is especially true of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney and John Edwards. So you see we as gun owners only have but one choice for the Presidency in 2008. We must pull together and support Congressman Paul, hopefully he can muster support from 80,000,000 gun owners. If he could do this, he would win the republican nomination regardless of what the GOP likes or dislikes. Please help him build a war chest like the other contenders. Vote for a republican, more importantly a libertarian. A Bill of Rightest. A Constitutionalist. I will be donating heavily towards his campaign in the hopes that by doing so I will be ensuring my children and their children the opportunity to own firearms well into the future.

Please be advised that this is a cursory website. A more refined and polished website will be up in a few days.

By the way, Congressman Ron Paul will be running on a platform that goes way beyond the simple preservation of unabridged civilian firearms ownership. He will be running on a platform that will free Americans from the Federal Reserve Bank and the IRS. This is real heavy stuff. Way beyond gun ownership. If Paul is enabled to lead the way he will take us ALL THE WAY! He is a man of his word. He has a cameo appearance in Aaron Russo's movie, From Freedom to Fascism. This is a must see movie for EVERYONE! This movie has it's own website and petition.

Closed minded and closed fisted

Ok, I will admit when I first read this post I went into close minded and closed fisted mode. I went researching looking for a reason to not like this guy and take some shots at him. Mainly because I am not fond of texas style republicans.

I am also not fond of his gold dstandard idea and I think his ideals of govt are too simplistic for todays world economy and would leave America trailing behind very quickly.

I also did not like some votes he made on some issues but I did like that even though he voted along republican lines on some things he did stand up and say he thought that the govt really had no business sticking their nose into things like gay marriage, abortion, or religion.

But the more I read about him the more I was okay with him. I like that he is pro small business, anti big govt, etc. I might not vote for him but I would not consider him a bad choice.

I have to say the most impressive thing to me there is all the Ns under the Appropriations section. I am all for a man that is willing to pull a benjamin out of his own wallet when he intends to spend my money. In addition to his support of the RKBA I like his stance - though not necessarily his views - on both gay marriage and abortion. Regardless of his personal feelings on the matter he believes Uncle Sam has no authority in either one.

I'd vote for him and contribute to his campaign.

Playboy Penguin - There's no reason not to like Ron Paul ... He's one of the very last of the good guys in congress.

He had my vote before he announced he would possibly run.

Unfortunately , the media, the lobby and big business(IE the Corporations) as well as the Fed Res , which all have another agenda far from what the people want .... will do everything in their power to prevent Ron Paul from being elected.

And even more sad ... I am afraid if by some miracle Ron Paul was elected .... There would be some very powerful and well financed people out their looking to give him a Kennedy style haircut. :(

I truly hope Ron Paul gets elected . He's our last hope for a turn around from this mess we're in and a bankrupt country and destruction of the middle class.

He's been right on every issue and has no agenda other than that for the people.

From the looks of it he has my vote. Here I thought 2008 wouldn't have ANY possibilities.

I'm going to tell everyone i know about this guy, too. Thanks to the OP!

I'm voting for him, should he get that far. Finally, a candidate for whom I would wear a campaign button! It's been a long, long time...

Incidentally, I was planning on spending the 2008 elections pulling a Dale Gribble - buying Xmas presents at the outlet mall.

Now if I can just convince my wife, our household would be 100% Ron Paul!

Let's keep bumping this thread - creating some awareness couldnt hurt. And since he IS the only truly pro-gun candidtae, I don't see that we have much of a choice, Firing Liners!

I don't know. THe man has TWO first names, that's kinda shifty, ain't it? :D Hey, we have to find SOMETHING we don't like, right?

DOes anyone have a source of information on Paul? I would like to read it myself and send the information out if I like it.

What we should do is ram Ron Paul down the secret power brokers throat. He would probably be the closest we could get to a Calvin Cooledge. It would be nice to hear, I see no basis for this legislation in the constitution, when he vetoed most bills.

Just in case you guys don't know what Ron Paul looks like, here's a recent photo:

Having Ron paul as the repub candidate guarantees we have President Hillary/Obama.

Join the real world boys and girls, we will need elect the lesser of two evils (the lesser one hopefully being electable), not nonimate the unelectable simply because he may fit into ones own circumscribed weltanshauung.

Politics aint principles, if it was we wouldnt have any politicians.

Sometimes, what you think is the lesser of two evils can easily become your worse nightmare.
