The ONLY Pro-firearms Presidential Candidate for 2008!

the fact that the "establishment" aren't huge fans of Ron Paul means to me that he is most definitely the man for the job.

I'd find it very suspicious if he was overwhelmingly endorsed by the rest of the Republican Party.

Even if he doesn't win the Republican nomination..he can still run under another banner..or we could all just write him in.

Wouldn't that send a message to the powers that be..if a write in won the election! Not likely I know..but it's fun to fantasize about. Could be a good subplot for book...

America is lost if Ron Paul does not get elected. Say byebye to the second ammendment. We can only spread the word by mouth and internet. He will not get much national coverage. They will try to do to him what they did to Buchanan. I may actually donate money to his campaign to help. If progunners and proamericans dont do their part he has no chance. Get ready for the new world order and say goodbye to America. How can anyone who believe in RKBA not vote for this guy!!!! Because he is honest he cannot be a good politician and win? Just because crooks are the norm dont this it is right. We dont need anymore slick politicians. If you want an honest candidate do your part, donate, spread the word. This is the future of America!!!

Ron Paul is our last (legal) hope, and EVERY SINGLE GUN OWNER has a solemn duty to vote for him in the primary.

With the exception of Ron Paul, ANY vote for a Republican or Democrat is a vote against the Constitution. You might as well be voting for a Communist or a Nazi because you think he's "the lesser of two evils."

So since he has zero chance of being elected, thus you have no hope. What are your plans for after the election to deal with your ruined life?

I wouldn't say "zero" chance of being elected. It may not seem likely to us who for the past 10 years have depended on neo-conartist Republicans or chanced voting for an independent and "lost our vote." But stranger things have happened (up until 10 years ago nobody thought the Republicans, then considered conservative, would ever control the House and Senate again). Republicans lost the both sides of Capitol hill for a reason. People (conservative ordinary people) are sick of being let down...they either voted for an independent, voted for a democrat out of spite (or because at least the Democrats are honest about that they believe...they flat out tell you they are big government supporters), or didn't vote at all out of frustration. If a principled man comes along, like Ron Paul, and runs, people just might pay attention. He has a good record for integrity, standing for a strict interpretation of the Constitution and not going along to get along. He is very popular in Texas and very unpopular in his party because of the above said virtues.

Granted, he will face a lot of opposition from his own party (mostly made of low life neo-cons) and this does make it highly unlikely. BUT, I wouldn't say "zero" chance.

ummm....very blunt....but very true. Both parties have nothing but contempt for the Constitution and the Republic established by the Founding Fathers. Oh they like to quote out of context and flash a copy of the Constitution around or use Geo. Washington's name to look patriotic. But they all are self-serving low lives who have no principles and care only about keeping a seat in Washington by catering to the masses.

Well we are lost then, so if you want I'll buy your guns...we have a travel agent that works with us so you can find somewhere to go where it isnt "lost"

Another thought: Ron Paul is a good man, him running for president is great and is important. He will get my vote. I hope he gets in.

BUT, the President is not the most important man in the world. Getting a single man elected in Washington is not the end all and be all of preserving our liberties. It is only a small battle in the great war. You have to elect good men in the House and Senate that think like him. You also have to change state legislatures and city and county officials too. This country is in a big mess and has strayed far from what it was created to be. Putting one good man in the white house and saying we've won as though he were King, is a false hope.
In short, people have to change, communities have to change. It can't be done by just one man.

Again, I think electing Ron Paul would be great. But it is not THE thing that is going to preserve our gun rights or any of our liberties.

The same as I have done during the Clinton and Bush2 administrations. Wait for political karma to catch up with them. In 2008 we will realize that the majority of the American electorate hasnt learned anything in 2008. Like I said I may be farting in the political winds, but so be it.

I see the elite of the Democratic party havent learned a damned thing. I read an article where some of the labor unions and liberal pacs and .orgs are going to form something to keep the moderate and conservative democrats in line by running candidates against them next time except where the candidates are in a staunchly conservative district.

I see Mr. Brownback is running on the gold standard of "values". I am the defender of morality playbook.

They have learned about gun control though. Mitt Romney has been born again and even Bill Richardson who voted against the pro gun stance in 1994 has seen the light. So are they for real or just putting on the sheeps clothing ?

The majority of the candidates seem to be in semi-stealth exploratory mode right now.

Yeh my man may not get elected but Im tired of drinking from the cup of lesser evils.

The issue is if one engages in gun list fantasy of candidates with no chance or waiting for revolution as you posture as compared to reasonable strategies for political action. They may entail incrementalism of effort.

Unfortunately, bellowing and ranting is more attractive on the Internet.

Talking on the internet among other people is far more productive than bellowing at the supper table every night essentially preaching to the choir. Or cursing at the tv screen as it displays Tom Brokaw or Dan Rather every night on the news. For the past 50 some odd years predating talk radio and the internet, that's about all conservative minded people could do.
That's one of the postive things about the internet is that information, opinion and discussion are no longer limited to CNN, NBC, CBS, the New York Times, The Houston Chronicle, and other left wing media outlets or even loudmouth neo-con radio hosts.
In fact, I would venture to say that if it weren't for the internet, we probably wouldn't even know that Ron Paul was going to run. Most of us outside of the Lone Star State probably wouldn't even know who he was.

Are you guys not hyped up about this guy? He is our Sparticus.

www.freedomtofascism.com is our rally gry. Ron paul is our leader. We must all become constitutional-activists. Drapped in an American flag contitution in hand. The time has come for America to wake up. Things are slipping away to fast.

agreed sir!

Instant, global communication has ingrained itself into virtually every aspect of modern life and certainly altered the scope of politics. The free expression of ideas is as crucial to a free society as a free market and self-ownership and the internet makes that possible in ways never before imagined. Another reason to pay very close attention the net-neutrality issues. :o

"Join the real world boys and girls, we will need elect the lesser of two evils (the lesser one hopefully being electable), not nonimate the unelectable simply because he may fit into ones own circumscribed weltanshauung."

This is exactly the kind of response the powers that be want America to have

Talking time is over. We have to Unite in large numbers, that is our only chance. Protests, gatherings, demonstrations is the way to do it. We need to start writing letters. We need a good writter to design a template that people can send to their officials. We need to design flyers, bumper stickers, t-shirts etc. Its time to get the word out. We have very little time.

Unite over what? If Ron paul had part of his platform the repeal of all Federal Gun Laws, I still wouldnt vote for him for his position on other matters and I bet a lot of others here wouldnt vote for him either.

alright, ill bite, I try to keep an open mind. What is the Constitution then. I see America becoming a miliyary state the way things are going. Please, please convince me. I would love more than anything to be wrong. I am in no way trying to be sarcastic or disrespecting.

I will definately vote for, and support, Ron Paul. A vote for the "lesser of two evils" is still a vote for evil.
