The Best 9MM pistol

I have just given the 9mm a honest shot after a lifetime of resistence so experience with different 9mm platforms is limited but gonna say Glock 17.

210 for sure. Probably my -5 since I can adjust the sights.

Its hard to say, as there were so many great 9mms built over the years.

Since "best" is subjective, I'll go with most accurate. From my personal stash, I'd have to say its a toss up of the following.

Wolf Ultramatic, Sig Sauer X Five L1, Sig P210-6 Heavy Frame, Smith & Wesson 952-1, Pardini GT9, and the HK P9S Sport.

All these guns are top shelf quality and shoot lights out. I have other pistols that can match them, but not in 9mm. They're pretty much the best ever built from a quality and accuracy standpoint. :)

Benelli B-76. Simple, sexy, accurate, comfortable, capable of DA or condition 1 carry....an all steel classic.

If it is anything like its cousin here, it is a great gun. Besides it is really fun to clear it, hand it to a buddy and say, "Go ahead, take the slide off for me."

Yeah, the Benelli B76 is a very high quality and accurate 9mm. I almost put it in my picture above, but the fact that its double action with small sights keeps it from being on the same level with the pistols I posted.

Now, the Benelli MP3S would have certainly made my picture. Its single action only, very high quality, and extremely accurate. Its just not 9mm...

I can do very well with any of those 3 cz (p07, p09, phantom) they are more accurate that I'll ever be. The furst tome I shot at 100 yards free hand was with the compact p07, I was surprised I hit my 10 inch steel target 3 x out of a 16 rds mag.

There is no best. The best is the one that best works for you.

I like the hi-power, but also like the CZ-75. I especially like the C-96 Broomhandle, but that isn't practical (weight and length) unless the shoulder stock holster is affixed (pistol caliber carbine).

Almost Better than Sex pistols...

Star 28/30/31, S&W 3rd Gens, Astra A-70, 1990's SIG's, and the Calico 9mm pistols w/ 100-rd mags :D

Had a CZ 75B which I liked but never loved. I love my Browning Hi-Power and believe it to be the best - i.e., most accurate, most reliable, most ergonomically comfortable, etc. - 9 mm that I have ever owned or fired. Yes, a largely subjective response, but one I have no trouble offering.

I shot one of the higher echelon Sig X5 models last year, and those things are stupid accurate and easy to shoot. It is expensive though. Out of guns that I can actually afford, I enjoy the HK P2000 LEM.

Hk p30. Not the greatest trigger, but the ergos are second to none and it is very accurate.

I currently am waiting for my vp9 to come in, we will see how it compares.

My favorite 9's

My order of preference:

- CZ P-01 (Feels great in the hand. Accurate. Quick follow-up shoots. If I could only have one 9mm, this would be it because of its versatility. It works well for home defense (14 rds & lightrail), CCW (compact size), and range use (fun to shoot all day).
- Springfield Range Officer 9 (smooth, lowest recoil, the most accurate, just plain fun to shoot, full-size 1911)
- CZ SP-01 (full-size version of P-01, my home defense gun, 18 rds, no hiccups)
- Sig Sauer P226 (great 9, was edged out by the SP-01 for home defense duty, fits my hand nicely, simple takedown, my first 9)
- Dan Wesson Pointman 9 (very refined full-size 1911)

As you may have noticed, I prefer metal guns. I've tried a few polymers, but I never felt like I had a secure grip. The other thing I like about metal guns is the ability to change grips to suit me. All my handguns (except the Sig) sport VZ (G10) grips with various textures.
