You and me both brother... I mentioned it earlier, but the IWI Jericho is a CZ-clone, using several Italian (Tanfoglio) parts. The FS-version is easily on par with CZs with an even better trigger out-of-the-box. I don´t know how the MRI-produced ones are, but the Israeli are certainly top-notch.
 
At this exact moment...



The CZ Sp-01 Phantom on top has a slight edge over the stock CZ P-09 for me...


...but the P-09 is no longer stock, and will be wending it's way back to me from Cajun Gun Works soon. It has been set up as a carry pistol, and we'll see how it works. :)

Israel Military Industries until 1995

"Over the past 25 years MRI has been responsible for the design and development of the Desert Eagle pistol. The design was refined and the actual pistols were manufactured by Israel Military Industries until 1995, when MRI shifted the manufacturing contract to Saco Defense in Saco, Maine. In 1998, MRI moved manufacturing back to IMI, which later reorganized under the name Israel Weapon Industries."
 
The Desert Eagle is not the Baby Eagle. The Baby Eagle is a rebranded Jericho - MRI had no part in its design or production.
 
And both the IMI/MRI Baby Eagle and the Jericho 941 are at heart Italian made Tanfoglios, frame and slide made in Italy, final assembly in Israel. Good guns.
 
The BEST 9mm pistol for ME is my G19. Owned quite a few 9mm's, and this is the one that has all the features I want, and none of the features I don't want. For me it's my one pistol that I feel confident can serve any roll. There might be better ones for range work, or ccw, or home defense but the 19 can do all of these things at an acceptable level.
