The 10-5 was produced from 1962 through 1977. 1977 was the change to the model 10-7. S&W forums may have the info you want or you can pony up some cash and get a letter from Mr. Roy Jinks the historian/research person at S&WIf you need any additional information to nail it down let me know.

No. Both models used the same serial numbers concurrently.Is there any possibility to know the caliber from the s/n?
1993. I don't know on the value but would guess about $1K or more depending if you have original packaging and it's actual condition.I have a lew horton 66-3. The serial number starts with PCP.
