I agree that the list is woefully incomplete, but just to keep things straight Rock River's are made in the Phillipines. Rock River, Charles Daly, the STI Spartan--The frames, slides, and in most cases the whole guns are manufactured by Armscor.

Rock River Arms are made in the USA. Rock Island pistols are made in the Phillippines.

Yeah all those are US made but did they ever have plants in any other country, i think that is what that list was getting at, like guns made solely in the US. I mean how could you forget Colt and S&W.
But if the list just sucks, be sure to add
HIGH STANDARD

Added High Standard

I added High Standard, at least it appears their pistols are USA made. They do have some rifles that are foreign made.

34....more??

The only (minor) issue I see so far is that some on the list are almost what you would call custom makers of very small volume. But at least they are American made.:)

A few H&K pistols:

"We've reached a major milestone in our objective to establish a production presence in the U.S.," said Wayne Weber, executive vice president of the U.S. business unit of Heckler & Koch. "The new HK45 pistol is the first HK product officially 'Made in the USA'. It is our goal to strategically transfer production of select HK products to the U.S., with the HK45 Compact being the next product to come off the U.S. production line and shortly thereafter, the HK MR series rifles."

I would be willing to bet that the raw materials for a lot of parts for these guns comes from out of the country.

I would also bet that other commodity items like springs and fasteners come from where ever, as opposed to the US.

Don't forget the FN line of pistols, FNP etc.

I don't think so. I know that FN does produce some rifles in the USA, but I don't think the FN pistols are completely USA made.

A few H&K pistols:

Not sure about H&K either. Are they really going to make all the components in the USA? A lot of companies stamp made in the USA but still just do final assembly here. But having H&K even do assembly is a good thing, just not sure it meets this criteria.

I don't disagree, but I guess you have to draw the line somewhere. If a company takes raw steel from another country and forges or cast a part, then I do call that made in USA. Now if you get the slide or frame already made from another country then no. Springs & fasteners probably come from all over.

Iver Johnson Rockledge Fl .i Think Could Be A Senior Moment

Are they still making pistols? I can't find new information. I think they stopped under their name in 1993.

My whole life is a senior moment.:p

Added Iver Johnson

Google Iver Johnson Rockledge Fl. He Was At The Shot Show In Orlando 2009.

OK, I found them. I will add to the list. I wish they had more base data about their company. It does not say anything about where or how made.....but I will assume USA, but not sure. Yes I know in the olds days they were USA made.:)
