Constantine:
Remember "Briefcase Full of Blues" and the Blues Brothers? Well I travel with briefcase full of bullets.
I trust in the Lord on all things. I use the resources and intelligence He provides to be prepared to protect my family. When driving, I do not stay in your average $100.00 a night room unarmed. I have traveled for 22 years as part of my job.
One story comes to mind. About 13 years ago I had to drive from Dallas to Tulsa. I really did not want to leave my family and decided to leave late in the afternoon and spend the night in Tulsa. I took my normal route up through Atoka, OK.
When I got on the other side of Atoka, there was a fire on the side of the road. What appeared to be a pre-fab concrete building for phone equipment was about to be engulfed by a large grass fire right off the median.
I pulled over to phone the incident in. Just as I did, a white man in blue jeans and a light blue denim short sleeved shirt ran up to the car and started beating on the roof and front passenger window screaming: "YOU ARE TAKING ME TO McALESTER! YOU ARE TAKING ME TO McALESTER! Sweat was pouring down this guys face. I pulled a .40 caliber Tanfoglio Witness on him and he never even flinched, he just kept beating the roof of the car violently.
I then sped off with him holding onto the door handle throwing rocks and gravel everywhere. By then it was getting dark. Driving about 85mph, I stopped at the next pace on the side of the road that looked safe. I called Atoka 911 and explained to the lady what had just happened. I then looked across the highway at a large fence with lights everywhere and I was right next to one of Oklahoma's State Penitentiaries located in Stringtown.
The 911 Operator explained to me that an escaped convict was on the run and authorities were searching frantically for him. 'Scary thing is I got to Tulsa and shot the Witness and it was a one shot wonder jammomatic.
Thus began my 250 round minimum requirement for any weapon I entrust for protection.
