protest near Bush farm....

This poor woman is a useful idiot at best. I definitely feel for her loss, she's a useful idiot nonetheless. Mikey mooe loves her as do the palestinians, the socialists,( soros), and your garden variety leftists. She is disgracing herself, her family, and most of all her brave sons memory. E

P.S. There is no such thing as a "greater sin" Sin is sin, Period

This is in no way meant to imply that I think she is outside her rights to do or say what she pleases. Just me exercising my right to say shes outside her mind!

why should bush give her anything? he can't spend his time in office hugging everybody. gotta country to run you know. her problem is meaningless in the big picture. bush boy has much more important things to do than explain anything to that self important-15 minutes of fame-disgrace to her son.

I did blow my top when I saw that someone discharging a firearm with the intent to intimidate people was being put up as some sort of model citizen. Maybe
Cindy Sheehan did attend a group meeting with Bush but she obviously wasn't satisfied with the response or lack thereof from the man. Would Bush spend maybe a little time with a Republican senator whose child was a casualty of the Iraq "war"? No way to test this, the only Senators kid over there has finished his tour and no doubt, due to the possibility of eating an RPG, not signed up for a second. I don't blame Bush's neigbour from being pi$$ed off with the media circus and others who have gathered around Cindy's camp. No doubt Mrs Sheehan's mission will be subverted by all sorts of people running their own agendas and using her for a conduitto get their issues on the media, that's a shame because I think her original intention was with a pure heart and a strong motive. Exactly what did the death of her son achieve? I think she has the right to expect an answer from the man, Commander in Chief, who arranged for him to be there.

PS. My post was never intended as a troll, I was irritated.

Yeah, OK

There are plenty more where that came from... Along with multiple Bush administration bashing posts... Your agenda is quite clear.

Trip 20 please find one post where I have advocated withdrawing the troops form Iraq........

Ill be waiting.

What I am waiting for is some adult leadership in the Pentagon that puts the troops safety over thier arrogance.

So I am a unpatriotic bastard for condeming what I see as unfit military policy in Iraq ?

Because I dare excercise my rights and disagree with the President?

you have my sympathy and prayers.

You agree with her so she's ok in your book as long as she doesn't trespass.
You disagree with the neighbor so he's an idiot, even if he was within his rights. Think it through and find the true idiot.

I guess I am an idiot for seving over 28 years of military service and being a veteran of the war on terror?

Im not a Bush or Rumsfeld sheeple.

if you want to call me an idiot because of that......you might want to reconsider.

The guy fired the gun because he was mad...lol

wasnt about property rights, nor second amendment rights. Doesnt make a difference he was out of the city. He did it because he was pissed.

so all of you here are advocating that if a person is mad as long as they are on there property they can grab a firearm and blast away in the air or any direction they please?

That is what you are condoning and supporting.

sorry but he still gets the idiot vote from me.

Does that mean every president/administration in power at time of war is despicable because they caused the death of countless brave and honorable soldiers?
We're talking about a woman who lost her son, who is being manipulated (giving her the benefit of the doubt) by organizations and groups with an obvious political agenda.
I find these groups GROSSLY more despicable than any president that has ever served this nation. I can't really draw a parallel between the two sides of this sword as you put it - at least in the way you’re swinging it.

Not every president presiding over every war, some wars are justified - Afghanistan comes to mind (although that war was caused by us going into Kuwait which I objected to). But, there are wars that are wrong - surely you don't believe that a man who becomes President suddenly and miraculously becomes God's Second Son and can make no mistakes? Has no hidden agendas? Harbors no grudges? That every single thing he does is infallible?

This woman may be manipulated, and she may not be. She may be doing and saying exactly what she wants to say - she does seem to have normal intelligence. I would give her the benefit of the doubt and assume, until proven otherwise, that she is a free agent and not somebody's dupe.

As to using the death of a soldier to protest a war? What better reason could you protest a stupid and unnecessary war over if not the deaths of our soldiers?

I guess the bottom line is that this war has supporters and opponents - like most wars - and demonizing the other side is status quo: I try not to demonize this war's supporters, they have their reasons for supporting it. That is the sword that cuts both ways - that we can demonize each other without doing anyone any good in the process.

Yeah! He should go out and shoot that grieving mother in the face with his shotgun. What a HERO!! Gee, she's only excersising her right to free speech isn't she. The Shrub could do with every mother of every boy and girl killed in his oil war, swarming all over the public land around his ranch / fortress. It's pretty obvious that nobody in the current administration has got the bal$$ to stand and talk with this woman in front of a camera. Sorry, got to go and fire my .308 over the head of a guy parked outside my house....he's been there for at leat a minute......

1st, no one said anything about shooting anyone. 2nd. She already had her time with the president. 3rd, I don't even know why I'm wasting my time on such an obvious Bush Hater anyway. Whats the point....

My vote is for idiot....

anybody who just decides to shoot a gun up in the air just because hes peeved is an idiot. Yes he was on his own land and he gave the reporter the *wink* *wink* on why he did it because he was peeved. What if your nieghbor decided he was peeved and shot a gun up in the air? Firearms are for self defense not expressing ones personal opinion.... idiot I say. I guess anytime we are peeved or angry we should grab a gun and shoot it in the air...

I didn't see anywhere that the guy was just mindlessly shooting into the air. Maybe you can find some proof? ;)

And now don't get me wrong, I feel bad for the mother that she lost a son. I feel bad for ANY parent that loses a child. That is my worst fear in the world as a parent. But when my children grow up, if they make the decision to SERVE THEIR COUNTRY, I will pray for them and be PROUD of them. I would not for 1 SECOND discrace their memory or service by doing what this boys mother is doing. Just by doing a little research into this woman and seeing all her 'known' affiliations, she dishonors her son by that alone. She MAY BE GRIEVING, but she is also EXPLOITING HER SONS DEATH, to further a political agenda.....and that is just sick and quite pathetic really.....

The guy was on his property and excercising his right to both practice for hunting and protest in his own way. Condemning him as an "idiot" shows one to have a bias in favor of the group on the receiving end of the counterprotest.

Very true butch50, and good point.

Your correct - even God's Second Son is a mortal man, and is capable of all sins. The flip side of that coin (or sword) however, is that I do feel certain accusations, of certain hidden agendas, are without merit. It's important to weed through the speculative accusations - and when one come from a standpoint of an opposing party - their opinion will usually be one that is against, rather than for, mostly for spite.

Any republican/concervative who says they objectively evaluate Clinton/Billary politics is a liar. Same goes for any democrat/liberal who claims the same about Bush politics. That's just my opinion and no one has to like it ;) . Well, to be fair, I guess I should say very few people can say they objectively evaluate....etc.

If I was against a war, and my son was not - and in fact joined in order to fight - I wouldn't dishonor him by using his death to protest MY point of view. This is just opinion; mine.

....another good comment you made:

This is a good reason not to get into an argument over whether the war is good or bad and stick to the issue of the protest, it's validity, and it's agenda. I think if we can throw our own views of the war aside, and look at what's going on with this protest we might have a more productive discussion. There's already a thread/poll about agreeing/disagreeing with the war in Iraq. Which, I might add, I haven't posted in (and wow I'm proud I have had such restraint!). :)

Not every president presiding over every war, some wars are justified

Ah! But being justified is an opinion. There are some that felt going to Europe in WWI and WWII was not justified. They were no immediate threat to America, especially in WWI. It was a European problem, not an American one.

The same goes for Iraq. Just because you don't think it is justified, doesn't mean it isn't.

As for the guy, if him firing off the gun gives us all a black eye, and the antis can take this incident and run with it and ge legisltion passed, the battle is already lost.

Has anyone beside me figured out the she is ugly as a bowling shoe also???? I would feel like Austin Powers when he got stuck on the "MOLE", except I'd be calling her RUDOLPH..........

I'd want a divorce too, talk about letting yourself go on top of wigging out:eek: .............

;) DOC ;)

buzz....buzz....buzz and DeriusT the guy *wink*wink*nod*nod* told the reporters to figure it out.....

It has nothing to do with hunting or property rights.......

he was mad......

my cow died so I dont need the bull moooooooooooooooooooo!

Im still voting the idiot ticket

I just want a meeting with the president to ask!!!

he was mad......

So is she. Yet you support her exercise of her rights, and verbally sanction him for his excercise of his rights.

She's given as much of a "wink wink" as anyone else when it comes to motives. She wants to talk to Bush? Already done it. Wants to talk about the war? Guess those pro-Palestinian comments were a slip.

Eghad....Buzz already said it, but it bears repeating.....

So the guy "wink, wink" did some target practice.....

But the mother already HAD her time with Bush about her son, and time to voice her concerns about the war, but then SUDDENLY, she wants to talk again about her concerns, and oh, what about these "wink, wink" OTHER concerns I suddenly got concerned about? This palestinian thing, "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" as they say......is that camera on? CUE CRYING.....

BLECH.... :barf:

Dut did Bush give her an honest answer? or did he do that Stay the course thing.......

Do they have a Wal-Mart there. The price of poster paper and a marker is cheaper than shotgun shells? I think the Constituiton refers to free speech and written speech not protesting with a loaded weapon....

So do you think the Palestinians should be eradicated off the face of the earth ?

yada..yada...yada....

I beleive target practice refers to shooting a firearm at a target not walking outside and shooting into tha air because your mad

:notbuyingthebullbecausemycowdied:

yeh I know how you feel when I hear the name Rumsfeld :barf:

and I hear that canned Bush speech :barf:

while out troops die over there because they dont have a plan......

some FYI

Kissinger is a supporter of the war in Iraq..here is what he had to say.

"In a CNN interview on Sunday, Kissinger said he had an uneasy feeling that the war in Iraq was going the way of Vietnam war. The eminent foreign policy expert has argued that some of the same factors that damaged support for Vietnam war are emerging in Iraq."

Two months ago:

"U.S. Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld admitted on Tuesday that Iraq is not safer than before toppling its former leader Saddam Hussein in 2003.

Speaking to BBC Newsnight programme, the Defence Secretary repeated U.S. claims that anti-occupation fighters cross "porous" borders from Iran, Syria and elsewhere.

However, he said that the Iraqi forces were growing in numbers, expressing confidence that the anti-occupation rebels in Iraq will soon be defeated.

Asked if the security situation in Iraq had improved, Mr. Rumsfeld admitted: "Statistically, no."

But he claimed that "it has been getting better as we've gone along".

LOL..could I get a definiton of better Mr. Rumsfeld?

my feeling is that Bush and Rummy are clueless like the blond bimbo about how to win in Iraq.

Rummy gotta go............

Maybe the mothers tears are because her son had to die for the Bozo show going on at the Pentagon :(
