Pic Thread: Your first handgun (if you still own it.)

First was a 70 series Gold Cup. Would still have it if it didn't get stolen by a gunsmith who decided it would contribute to his failing finances.

Some really nice first handguns in here. Getting my first auto this year too. Prob a 1911, since it is 2011 and i love single action. Can you add a poll once thread is started? I kind of want to poll to see who still owns first handguns.

Hello larryf1952,,,

Sadistic?

Naw,,,
Not intentionally in any case.

But i realize it might hurt someone's eyes to look at it for very long,,,
So my advice is not to look at it for very long.

LOL! You won the butt ugly prize with that pic in the other thread, but then I kept seeing the same pic pop up in several other threads that I'd come across. I was like, "My eyes, my eyes! There it is again!"

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, especially for one's first love...sort of like dating the ugly sister, eh? But, she has a great PERSONALITY!

It's been good funnin' with ya...all the best...

my first pistol bought in 1970 for $25 used. it's a unique (made in france)model 52 in .22 cal. i lost it in a field one year covered with snow from october till spring. i was lucky to find it when the snow melted, had some rust but cleaned up ok and still worked. i still have it today.

Hallo again Larryf1952

So the challenge is on,,,
You gotta find and buy something uglier than mine.

I'll name mine Griselda after one of Cinderella's ugly step-sisters,,,
IIRC the other sister was named Drucilla.

Happy hunting my friend,,,
And because of inflation you can spend up to $25.00 :D

My first was a Bersa Thunder 380. I still own it and will never get rid of it. It is one of my least expensive and one of my favorites.

Ruger single six great revolver but traded it in on a Browning medalist. The medalist is a great pistol but I miss the single six.

High Standard H-D Military. Given to me by my Grandfather when I was about 14 years old. "The good old days"!:D
That was about 50 years ago. I still shoot it, and it is quite accurate, and fun to shoot.

First hand gun I ever bought was in 1980: Colt Python 6" blue

I only owned it for a few years, and any photos (if I still have any) are probably in a box in the attic. That was the era before personal computers. :)

First rifle was in 1970: Winchester Model 250 lever action. (.22lr). I still have it, but since this is a handgun thread, I won't post any photos.

My first gun was a taurus 66 .357. I kept it for about two months and that includes the three weeks it was sent back to Taurus for repairs. After it was repaired it was sold.
