Pic Thread: Your first handgun (if you still own it.)

Colt Frontier Scout .22LR in about '67 or '68. It's the bottom one in the pic and I still have it.

My 1st was a lemon Taurus PT92. It was sold to a buddy for about a $170 loss. Makes me mad, as it has been great for him since then... I can't remember the the next handgun I bought after that, they all blend together. Maybe a MKIII?

dont own it anymore, and dont say i regret it, the first pistol i purchased was a beretta neos in .22lr i could only shoot about 30rds before it started jamming/misfeeding or getting gummed up.

first pistol i ever owned was a ruger (no idea what model) 22 revolver that was my grandfathers, wish i still had it, but we buried it with him 6 years ago this august.

The first pistol I purchased as a Taurus 24/7 Pro in .45acp. Nice enough gun, but I sold it to help finance a 1911 a while back. No regrets for having sold it, execpt it having been the first that I bought.

The first pistol I owned is a Springfield Omega Match 10mm, gifted to me by my father when I turned 21 from his collection. I used to shoot it all the time, but the sights need some work now and its been in the back of my safe for the last few years. With the price of 10mm ammo these days, and the fact I don't have time to reload, I've not been missing it too much. I'll have to post some pics later.

First was a High Standard .22lr Dura-Matic. Don't have it and don't miss it.

Second was a Ruger KP94DC. Sold it for what I had in it. Wouldn't mind having it back.

I've bought a few after that and still own all but the .44mag Blackhawk that I just didn't find fun to shoot.

This is the 3rd pistol I bought. I've put several thousand rounds through it. :)

My shiny new P226 Platinum Elite 9mm

I got it 3 weeks ago. Put 450 rds through it so far and love every one.

No pic. My son has it now. Ruger Single Six convertible. Bought it in Key West when I was in the Navy in 1962. It still shoots good.

No pic, they didn't have cameras yet. :D 1973, my first handgun was an Iver Johnson .22 revolver. Grossly out of time. Had it for 10 days, then bought this Ruger Standard Model...

I paid $5.00 for it at a garage sale when I was around 14/15 years old.

My first was a Ruger Security Six. My wife and I were newly married and living in a cheap rental house, a brutal home invasion multiple murder happened in our city, and I said, "That will never happen to us."

The Ruger has resided in the Ready Service Locker in the bedroom ever since:

Smith & Wesson Model 66 w/ Pachmayr grips. It was a very nice choice in stainless-back then. It was replaced by another handgun, and so on...

My first was a Springfield xd .45acp bitone. I just traded it to one of my best friends for a nib 870 express. Don't know if I regret it yet or not.

A Ruger Bearcat my wife bought for me, new, in 1964 for $39.95 at a Grant's five and ten. Still have it and even shoot it occasionally, mostly used for new shooters with little hands.
